Isabelle combed through her hair, blowdrying it simultaneously as she hummed along to the song that was playing.

She switched off the blow dryer, setting it down on the vanity before tipping her head back and shaking out her hair.

She pouted at her reflection, winking at herself playfully. She chuckled a bit, about to tie it up before a knock sounded at her door.

She frowned, wondering who it was that wanted to see her before she stood up to open it.

She swung the door wide open, startling the person on the other side of it quite a bit before she properly got a look at them.

Simon stared at her with wide eyes, cheeks beginning to flush as she continued to lower  her gaze down to the bowl that he was holding in his hands.

She raised a delicate brow, slowing grinning at him in silent question.

He looked quite flustered, and Isabelle was starting to become slightly amused at the sight of the mousey boy growing unsettled under her gaze.

"I- uh... just wanted to bring you a s-snack before you went to bed." He stuttered, fumbling with the bowl a bit before reaching it out to her.

Isabelle cocked her head at it, looking down at the bowl of strawberries curiously. Her heart soared at the sweet gesture, and she struggled to keep the blooming smile from her face.

She coaxed her features to remain expressionless, pretending to thoroughly analyse the bowl before shaking her head slowly.

"Sorry," She said. "I can't eat strawberries- I'm deathly allergic."

Simons jaw dropped as he jerked the bowl away from her, eyes terrified as he scanned her for any allergic reaction.

Isabelle laughed loudly, shaking her head at him as she took the bowl.

"I'm kidding." She teased, clutching the bowl close to her as she grinned at him.

Simons shoulders physically dropped in relief, a small smile hesitantly creeping its way onto his lips.

He chuckled a bit, readjusting his glasses on the crook of his nose.

Isabelle noticed that they were slightly crooked, causing her to laugh once more as she reached out to straighten them.

She let her hand linger on his cheek, feeling it warm under her touch. She bit her lip as she stepped back, smiling shyly at him.

He stuttered for a bit, blush blooming on his cheeks before hastily nodding. "I, uh- well, uh... g-goodnight, Isabelle." He said, before all but dashing down the hallway.

Isabelle giggled, starting to close her door until she saw Clary striding over to the door down the hall.

She opened her mouth to say something until she saw the girls expression. Clary's face was fully distraught, fists clenched as she stopped in front of the door.

She stared at it, before suddenly looking around the hallway. Isabelle ducked behind her door, hoping Clary hadn't spotted her.

She didn't need the poor girl thinking she was spying on her... even though she technically was.

Isabelle silenced her thoughts, slowly peering around the door. She looked through the small crack in the door to spot Clary grabbing a key and slotting it into the keyhole.

Clary slipped into the room, slowly shutting it behind her.

Isabelle didn't hear the door lock, and promised that if Clary didn't come out in ten minutes, she'd knock and ask if she was alright.

She busied herself with the strawberries, reminding herself to thank Simon tomorrow morning for the sweet gesture.

The minutes slowly dragged on, and Isabelle strained her ears to hear any movement inside the room.

Nothing.

She did a countdown, slowly standing up and creeping out of her room, down the hallway.

She hesitated as she reached the door, hand frozen in mid-air. She knocked once, then twice.

Nothing.

Beginning to grow worried, Isabelle started to open the door. "Clary?" She called, "I was just checking in to see if you were okay-"

The words died in Isabelle's mouth as she looked around the room, seeing pictures of... of Jace everywhere.

"What the hell." She breathed, staggering back and bumping into a stack of boxes. She quickly steadied them before they crashed to the floor, tensing as she looked around.

She spotted Clary on the bed, fast asleep holding... Isabelle squinted, dread filling her stomach as she creeped closer to her, only to see a picture frame in her hands.

Isabelle gasped as she gazed at the image, seeing Jace and Clary together.

Her stomach dropped, staring at the girl in horror as she stood back, looking around the room fully.

The room was filled with pictures of Jace, or items that seemed to belong to Jace, everything in it had something to do with Jace.

Feeling sick, Isabelle turned around, dashing out of the room and back down the hall, slamming her door shut.

She gasped, trying to get some air into her lungs as she hyperventilated.

She stumbled around her room, knocking things over. She didn't care, her blood was roaring in her ears and she feared she might pass out. She sat down shakily, clutching her head.

There was only one thing she had to do.

She had to tell Jace.
