Chapter 20 Where It All Went Wrong

"W-WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" Papyrus scoffed.

"Maybe he went to Grillby's or something.. I just don't know why he... he.."

Frisk, I need help with something.

"Great..." you complained.

"WHAT IS IT..?" Papyrus asked concerned.

You gave him a patient smile, and he ran towards you and hugged you. For someone who still refuses to take off is Battle Body, his hugs were surprisingly comfortable.

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON... BUT JUST KNOW... I'M HERE FOR YOU..." he told you.

"Thanks, Papy.." You hugged back. "I'll explain later.. I have to do something."

"MAY I COME WITH YOU? I WOULD LIKE TO HELP!" He said. "AND BESIDES, YOU COULD ALWAYS USE A BIT OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS!"

You laughed a little. "Sure, come."

You made your way to the front door, taking your keys, locking the door behind you, and walking across the street to the Dreemurr's house. One of the perks of living in a small town, everyone's house was in walking distance. So, lucky for you, your family lived just across the street.

You knocked on the door.

Chara opened the door almost instantly. You saw the glistening of her silver switchblade in her pocket when you walked in. She insisted on keeping it with her, especially when you started telling her that the monsters might move to the city.

"Well? Are you coming in?" she asked Papyrus when he didn't move.

"OH! UH... YES!" He walked into the house.

"What did you need me for?" you asked Chara, who was now scouring the kitchen, looking for something.

"I can't find it!" She screeched.

"Huh?" you asked. "What is 'it'?"

"Chara!!!!!" Asriel called from the other end of the house. "I think I found some!!!"

"Thank GOD!!!" She shouted, running to their shared room.

You and Papyrus followed, looking at each other in confusion. You both shrugged on what they were going on about. You walked into the room. It was big enough for both Asriel and Chara, but with you and Papyrus also in there, it was a bit crowded.

"Mmmm!!!" Chara said with her mouth full of something. "If you didn't find this, Azzy, I think I would have died again."

"A-AGAIN..?" Papyrus said.

"Chara.. I told you I don't like talking about that.." Asriel said shyly.

"Awe.. Sorry.." She wrapped her arms around him and nuggied his head. "I loooooove you!"

"I-I love you too, Chara..." he said. "Now would you please let go..?"

"Nah!! I love you too much!!" She shouted.

Papyrus bent down to your ear and whispered, "SANS HAS DONE THIS TO ME BEFORE..."

You held in your laughter when you saw the chocolate wrapper in Chara's hand. She let him go and started eating the chocolate again.

"Sorry for the whole.. Head.. thing.." Asriel said. "I know you told her only to do that in case of emergency, but.." he sighed. "When it comes to chocolate...."

"Yeah.." you said.

"Oh!" Chara shouted. "Frisk I'm going somewhere special tonight! Wanna come?"
