Chapter 60 Starting the Expansion

"Ch-Chara?!" Asriel's voice was heard down the hall, causing Chara and Susie to turn around.

Asriel's head was poking out of the door of the bedroom, and Chara slowly walked towards him. He had the door closed enough to cover his whole body, his face red. She almost laughed at the colour of his face, but considering that she had literally just been blushing, she didn't.

"What's wrong, Azzy?" She asked, noticing fur from his leg poking through the open part of the door.

Asriel gulped, his voice was on the verge of quaking as he spoke.

"I-... I can't find my pants..." He said.

Chara stopped, holding her breath, but it was no use, she began laughing without any control over herself. Asriel pouted and his face went a darker shade of red. Chara began holding her stomach as she crept into the room with him to help look for the missing pants.

Now that Asriel was awake, and finally fully clothed, Chara could care less if Kris woke up due to the noise they were making. In fact, it would be better if he did wake up. Hopefully they could ask him about what happened yesterday at your house. Susie on the other hand, was still confused, Chara having to explain everything. Susie had no idea what was going on because of being locked up in the house all the time, only because it would be bad if she ended up seeing Suzy.

"FRAN?! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Papyrus bellowed through the small house. "THIS ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE!"

No response... Where could she be? Somewhere in the house. She never, ever dared to leave the house. Especially when you and Sans were out somewhere. It didn't feel right to her to be out of the house when you weren't with her. She didn't know what would happen if she did, and it's more difficult for her to sense you and Sans when she's not in a place she knows.

She was about the height and look of a seven year old now. It was literally only yesterday that people would have said she looked five. It's almost as though she was growing faster and faster. Not only was she physically growing faster, but she also has been rapidly growing in her speech as well. She's improved so much in the way she talks in less than a day than you've in your resets.

Fran carefully lifted herself on top of the bed, or more specifically, yours and Sans' bed. She crept under the covers, covering herself with the sensation of you both being near her. All she wanted was for you both to wrap your arms around her. She did hear Papyrus call for her, but she didn't care. All she cared about was waiting for her parents to come home.

When the front door began to creak open, Fran had already shot out of the bed and 'poofed' downstairs next to Papyrus. He gave her a stern, unapproved glare as the front door swung open. She knew she wouldn't get in trouble though. Papyrus was very lenient when it came to her and misbehaving.

"we're home!" Sans called, Fran rushing over and hugging him tightly. "hey, sweetheart!"

"Dad! You'll never believe what I can do!" She said as you walked into the house and flopped on the couch, lost in thought.

His eyes were wide, waiting for her to continue. She closed her eyes, summoned her soul, cupping her hands around it without touching it. You saw a giant glow of purple beside you. You looked over to see Sans' eyelights the size of grains of sand, his eye sockets open wide as Fran had created a purple glow around herself. It exploded, bright light almost blinding all of you, and she stomped her foot on the ground.

"Darn it! It didn't work!" She closed her eyes a second time and Sans grabbed her wrists, causing her soul to disappear back into her chest.

Her eyes opened to look at him, his eye sockets plank and pure black.

"don't. do. that." He said. "ever. do you understand? you could really hurt monsters by doing that."

She nodded and lowered her head. Sans stood up and walked carefully towards his brother. Papyrus was standing there blankly, the look of shock spread across his face. You leaned back and rested your head on the back of the couch. It had been a long day... and you still had to figure out who you were going to send to the city.

"you okay, paps..?" Sans asked. "she didn't do that while you guys were hanging out... did she..?"

"SHE DID. BUT I'M ALRIGHT, I DON"T THINK SHE'S STRONG ENOUGH TO DO ANYTHING TO ANYBODY FOR NOW." Papyrus said, smiling at his brother.

"Who should go to the city?" You asked out loud.

Everyone went silent as you looked over at your husband and Papyrus. They both looked lost in thought, the same way you were. Fran placed a small hand on your leg and you looked down to her.

"What city are we talking about?" She asked you. "Who's leaving?"

You smiled softly towards her. "My boss is letting me allow two or three monsters into Ebbot City. So that later we could get a bigger house with more room."

"what about a couple of the dreemurrs?" Sans suggested. "tori could stay here with kris and susie, and asgore could go with asriel and chara. they need a human to go with them, right?"

Your eyes lit up at the offer. That would be perfect! Only problem with that though was how Chara could have a powerlust episode in the city. However, Asriel would be there to make sure nothing bad happened, so it should be fine. Another bonus would be that Asgore would go with them. He could advocate for the monsters behalf. He was the former king of monsters after all, so this could go over well!

Having Toriel stay here would also help. Considering the fact that her and Asgore are already monster representatives. She could 'man the fort' so to speak, as Asgore created peace in the city.

"That's a great idea!" you said. "I'll tell Chara right now!"

Hey!!!

What? Did something happen?

How would you feel if you and Azzy had your own place for a little while? Plus Asgore, but that doesn't matter.

What do you mean? There aren't any houses in the town that aren't full.

In the city!

...The city...?

Yeah! You and Asriel could have your own place! It's perfect for starting the expansion!

Chara sighed. This isn't looking good for her right now. She hated that city.. And every single human in it. But ... twenty years has passed since she was last there. So... maybe it won't be so bad. She'll have Asriel coming with her anyways, so it won't be that bad... Maybe..?

Chara looked over at Asriel. He was smiling and laughing at a joke Susie had told earlier. She smiled to herself before answering Frisk directly.

That sounds fine.

I hope you guys also don't mind the fact that I've added Chasriel into this XD I was lacking it in my life and I REALLY wanted to write it. So this is life now. 

Anyway! Hope you're ready for a surprize in the next couple chapters!
