(Fluff)
As a Talon assassin, you worked closely with the notorious Amélie Lacroix, also known as Widowmaker. A stone cold, emotionless killer who only achieves thrill through the life drawing from her victim's eyes. She was poisoned by Talon, brainwashed and forced to murder her own husband in cold blood. They heightened her skills of being stealthy, and having insanely accurate aim. You've only ever seen her miss a target once on the mission of Volskaya Industries.
Her skin was a light blue, the result of the poison that slowed her hear rate drastically. Her hair, dark blue that fell like silk down to the small of her back, done up in a tight pony tail. And her eyes, they were sharp but a gorgeous golden yellow. Her gaze pierced through everything and everyone she looked at. With her face narrow and her chin at a subtle point, her jawline was sharp and defined, seeming like it would cut your skin if you so much as just lightly dragged your fingertips along it. Not to mention her body was that of a goddess, you were for sure she could make the great Aphrodite jealous. Her figure was slim, her breasts small but the perfect size to weigh out her body proportions. Stomach flat and her hips just wide enough to perfectly suit her. She was tall, taller than you at least, your eyes came to her nose which was narrowed and came to a point. Her cheekbones were raised and her lips were full, covered with a dark purple lipstick.
You couldn't lie to yourself, she was gorgeous and you were highly attracted to her. Yes, you were in love with her body, but that's not the whole reason why you liked her. It was her mind. You knew what she was like before and that's the woman you were really in love with her. Her body was more like a bonus to you.
She didn't like you at first, you were nothing more than nuisance to her. You bothered her. But after a while of her being forced to be around you in training, meetings, missions, etc. she grew to tolerate you, and soon she even warmed up to you a bit. She wouldn't admit it but she considered you a friend, the only person that she really cared to talk to.
FlashbackYou had been noticed by the Talon organization for your skills. You were young, strong, and very good with a weapon, any weapon. And the best part was you were looking for an organization to join. None of them sparked your interest until Talon got ahold of you. Within a few weeks, you were a part of the team. You spent months training before they let you start training with Widowmaker, your future partner.
"Hm... imbecile..." Widow mumbled as you got up from the ground. You were paring with the higher ranked agent as a part of your new training program to become her official partner. She had just knocked you down over and over again, and you could tell she was starting to get bored.————————————
This went on for about a month before you finally managed to impress her in a paring session. The woman used a rag to wipe off her face, although there was not a drop of sweat to be seen anywhere on her face. "I need to speak with Reaper... You might be coming along with me on missions from now on after today" Said, though her tone still sounded annoyed.
"You don't seem so happy about it." You say, deciding to tease her a bit.
"I'm not happy about it. I work alone, that's how I like it and that's how I want to keep it. However, for the sake of this organization... I'm forced to honestly report your progress and get you up in the ranks. And if that means I have to get you a position as my partner so be it. I have a few conditions though." She said, turning to you and crossing her arms.
"Conditions huh? What conditions?" You ask.
"You stay out of my way, you only speak when I speak to you, you follow orders from Reaper and I only, you stay by me, you do not take matters into your own hands,"
Widow continued listing multiple things, you listened and slowly nodded until she was finished. "Alright, alright. I get it. Don't you trust me?" You ask with a smirk, pointing to yourself with a raised brow.
She scoffed and shook her head as she walked past you. "Quite frankly I don't, chérie."End Flashback
The two of you had just come back from a mission. One clean assassination that Widow had executed perfectly. Now you both were walking back to your designated rooms before Widow spoke up. "(Y/N)?"
You turn your head to look at her. "Yes Widow?"
"Would you mind staying with me in my room for a bit? I'd like to talk." She responded, her French accent thick as usual. You were a bit confused but nodded anyway, taking her up on her offer.
"Of course." You say as she stopped at her door. She unlocked it and stepped inside. You walk in after and gently close the door behind you as Widow took a seat on the edge of her neatly made bed. She motioned for you to sit next to her as she took out a wipe, starting to clean off her Widow's Kiss. You sit down next to her, waiting for her to speak.
She was silent for a short while until she finished cleaning her gun, looking at it as she slowly and lightly dragged her finger over the white painted 'W' of the weapon. "You have emotions..." She said, not looking up at you or anything.
You slowly nod. "That I do... what about it?" You ask.
"I use to have them... but it's been so long ago." She spoke softly and gently as she slowly lowered her gun into its case and closed it. Her response made you upset for her. You never felt sorry for you. To you, saying you felt sorry for someone was the equivalent of saying 'I'm better than you, you're below me and because of that I pity you' and that was not at all what you felt. Widow then looked over to you with what seemed like longing in her golden irises. "Remind me, chérie... what's it like?"
You frown a bit. "What's it like to feel emotions? Well... Am- Widow I mean... all emotions feel differently. I can't explain them all with just one explanation. Is there maybe one emotion you want me to try and explain?" You ask, Widow took some time to think before she looked back at you again.
"Love." She said simply and you nod slowly.
"Love... the most complicated of all emotions..." You were talking to yourself until you found a way to put the emotion into words so Widow could understand. "Okay... well, like I said, love is complicated. It's an extremely strong word and it's something you can't put into words. It has such a deep meaning and to everyone you ask, that meaning will be different..."
"Then just tell me what it means to you." You nod and continue.
"Alright. To me it's... it's kinda... well..." You sigh, giving up trying to explain it in a logical way. "This is going to sound really cheesy, but emotions happen because a part of the brain. Love doesn't happen in a person's mind. It's something that happens in the heart and everyone feels it, it's just different for everyone. For me, it's not so much an emotion as it is a connection. A connection to anything. It can be an object, it can be a pet. It could be a person..." You say the last part quietly as you looked at the ground before continuing. "It's when you feel this urge, this instinct to protect them, to be there for them, to want to hold them and comfort them... you might even want to die for them... And sometimes this urge isn't returned and that is... Nothing. The point is I can't explain this to you. The only I'd be able to explain it you was if I showed you. So I guess, just imagine it like the sensation you get after a kill." You say with a sigh and Widow looked at you unsatisfied.
"If you can't explain it me in words (Y/N)... show me." She said and you looked up at her with a blush.
"Show you? You know what means right?" You ask and Widow nodded.
"Yes, please chérie... show me... remind me." She whispered, her face showing no emotion as she leaned closer to yours.
Slowly nodding, your blush darkened greatly. You lean forward and softly connected your lips with her cold ones. She moved her lips slowly against yours. You were both in a daze during the kiss, not realizing you had wrapped your arms around her neck, she had her arms around your waist and you were sitting on her lap. When you finally pulled away for air, the two of you locked eye contact, and you saw something new in her eyes. You saw love.
