(Fluff)

It was Easter morning. Your third Easter with your adorable girlfriend Lena Oxton. It was nine a.m when you awoke from a long night of sleep, greeted by your lover cuddled into your chest with her arms wrapped around your waist and her hair in your face. You smile, holding her closer to your body as she started to stir.
Soon she looked up at you with tired eyes and a small smile. "Good morning love..." She yawned and buried her face into the crook of your neck. You rested your chin on the top of her head with a grin.
"Good morning, and happy Easter." You felt Lena's smile grow against your skin before she sat up.
"I forgot it's Easter!" She exclaimed, her tiredness quickly wearing away and being replaced with her daily energy. She was definitely a morning person, unlike you who enjoyed a few extra hours of lazing around in bed after you've woken up. You smiled and wrapped your arms around her waist, placing a soft kiss on her back as she giggled. "C'mon we need to get up." She turned around and placed kiss on your forehead before jumping up out of bed, running over to the bathroom to get ready.
You playfully rolled your eyes at your girlfriend's energy as you got up out of bed. Overwatch didn't celebrate Easter as a group like they did Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Some members celebrated on their own time, you and Lena were two of those people. But they did however have an Easter dinner.
You got dressed while Lena was doing her hair and brushing her teeth in the bathroom. When she came out to get dressed, you went in to do your hair and brush your teeth.
Lena had finished before you, waiting on the edge of the bed with bunny ears on her head that she wore every year. When you stepped out of the bathroom you smiled widely at her. She grinned and hoped up, wrapping her arms around your neck as she pecked your lips. "Ready love?" You smiled and nodded as she took ahold of your hand and the two of you left your shared room together.
"We doing the same thing we do each year?" You ask and Lena grinned. The two of you had a bit of an Easter tradition, after you ate breakfast you'd boil some eggs, decorate them, and leave them in the fridge for anyone who wanted some with a note that said 'Happy Easter'. Neither of you made a basket or anything for each other, instead you two liked to visit the candy shop downtown together before heading out to lunch. When the two of you got back, you had a few hours to spare, just hanging out together until dinner at the headquarters.
"Why did you want to do something different?" You ask, kissing Lena's cheek as she walked with you into the mess hall where some agents were already eating breakfast.
"Well, there is one thing I want to do that we've never done before." She asked, blushing lightly as she smiled up at you.
     "Yeah? And what's that?"
"After dinner, I want to head out again and go to the river down behind the part to see the stars above the small waterfall. Can we?" She asked, her eyes begging you to say yes. The way she looked at you, it was impossible for anyone on Earth to say no.
"Well... since you insist, I guess we can go." You teased and she jumped happily.
"Thank you love!" You giggle at her excitement, not completely sure why she was so happy about this.
The two of you got your breakfast and ate it together, sitting at your own table. Afterwards, you headed into the kitchen, staying out of the way of the cooks who were still preparing breakfast, and got into the fridge where you two kept the eggs you had bought the day prior to boil.
It didn't take long for them to finish cooking and while you two waited you had prepared the dye, the paint, and whatever else you two decided to use. Once the eggs were ready, you took the supplies out into the dinning area, sitting back down at your table and starting to work. Of course Lena couldn't contain herself, eating one before you two even started.
You each made the same number of decorative eggs, like you did each year. As you were getting everything put away, Lena wrote the little note, sticking it on the tray where all the eggs were before you could put them in the fridge.
After putting the eggs away, Lena wrapped her arms around your waist from behind. "Are we good to go?" She asked as you turned around and smiled at her, wrapping your arms around her.
"I'm ready if your ready." She smiled up at you and kissed your cheek.
"Then let's go!" She giggled. She grabbed your hand and the two of you left the Overwatch headquarters together, walking hand in hand to downtown.
When you got to the candy shop, you let go of Lena's hand, holding the door open for her. The lady at the cash register greeted you two as you both looked around. You two took turns paying each year, this year it was your turn to pay, so when you decided on what you wanted, you handed your card over to the cashier.
Leaving the shop, the two of you sat on a bench out of the sidewalk, having mindless chatter until you got hungry for lunch. It wasn't until about two when you decided to go get something to eat. You let Lena choose where she wanted to have lunch, and you two ended up going to Olive Garden. Since you had paid for candy for the two of you, Lena insisted on buying lunch. No matter what you said or did, you couldn't stop her. So eventually you gave up and let her pay.
When you guys arrived back at the Overwatch headquarters, you headed back to your shared room, watching a movie together and cuddling on the bed to waste time before dinner. Once dinner time actually arrived, you two headed to the mess hall where everyone was getting their food, smiling and laughing with each other. On holidays, all the tables were moved together for dinner so everyone could eat together. Lena took a seat by Genji, you sat beside her with Captain Amari at your other side.
Everyone was in a good mood, but you noticed the closer dinner came to an end, Lena became nervous and restless. When you finished eating and people started to take their now empty plates back, you turned to Lena, placing a hand on her knee. "Hey, are you okay?" You ask and she gives you a smile and a nod.
"Yeah, I'm alright love." She chirped. "We still going down to the river?" Lena asked as the two of you stood up, taking your plates back.
"Yep." You smile. "You still want to right?" You ask and she gave you an excited nod. You kiss her cheek before the both of you headed out once again.
The two of you walked in comfortable silence with your fingers intertwined. Lena seemed really nervous about something so you let go of her hand and draped your arm over her shoulders. "Are you sure you're alright?" She nods.
"Yeah I'm fine." She says as you two walked down to the river and into the wooden bridge above the water and in front of the small waterfall. Not many trees grew around this part so the moonlight shown bright down on the both of you.
"If you say so, you just seem rather nervous since the last half of dinner. Why's that?" You ask and Lena gave you a small smile.
"Well... we've been together for three years now and I love you more than anyone and anything else in the world. I've never been able to fully be myself in a relationship until I met you. You make me feel like the only girl in the world and I want to return the favor. I want this relationship to last forever. So..." Lena took a deep breath before she got down on one of her knees. You gasp silently as she took ahold of one of your hands gently. You covered your mouth with your other hand when you realized what was happening. She then pulled out a blue, plastic Easter egg and at first you thought she was joking until she opened it to reveal she had put some padding in it and an engagement ring. You giggle quietly at her childish proposal. "Will you be my wife (Y/N)?" She asked and you nod your head, on the brink of tears as you were unable to form words.
When you could finally bring yourself to speak you moved your hand away from your face. "Yes of course I'll marry you!" You say, a couple tears escaping from your eyes as Lena smiled widely, taking the ring from its egg case and slipping it onto your finger. She got up and engulfed you in a tight hug before kissing you. You cup her face in both hands, kissing her back deeply. When you pulled away you smiled widely, wiping away your tears. "I love you so much Lena."
"I love you too..." She grinned. The two of you stood there in silence for a bit before you giggled softly.
"You know... the proposal was rather... uneggspected." You say and Lena burst out laughing at your dumb pun, gently swatting at your arm. "Now you're stuck with me forever." You tease as Lena rested her head in the crook of your neck, her arms around your waist as you hugged her.
     "And I couldn't be happier."
