(Fluff)
(Final Part)

It had been a while since the last mission. Both you and Lena were healed from your wounds, although you still had some things you wanted to discuss with her. You had yet to bring up the kiss, but you didn't know when so you planned to make up a random date to tell her. Most of your time since the mission was spent on you wallowing around in your emotions, trying to figure everything out.
You had never fallen in love with one your soldiers before, you've grown attached but never this much. With Lena it felt different, she was more than just your recruit and you couldn't stop yourself from denying that anymore. However, there was no room in war for love. You still believed that, yet, you were willing to change that for her. It was like she had you in an emotional headlock, she was able to do anything she wanted to to you and you had no say or control over it. The worst part is, she wasn't even aware of it. Even if she changed her mind since the kiss, she'd still have full control of you. She was unintentionally using the strings of your heart to move you like a puppet.
A knock at your door forced you out of your thoughts. "Come in." You called out as the door opened to reveal Lena, smiling brightly.
"You wanted to see me commander?" You had completely forgot that you had called her down.
"I did? Oh! Right, yes I did." You say with a sigh, rubbing your face. "I need to talk to you about something outside of the workplace. Not today though, I need to know when your free." Lena stopped to ponder your question a bit.
"I don't believe I have anything to attend to on Tuesday..."
     "That works. What time?"
"Well, whatever time works for you, love." She giggled as you flipped through the pages of your planner.
"How does four o'clock sound?" You ask, not looking up from the page.
"Aye aye captain! I'll see you then!" She saluted before she blinked out of the room. That went better than you expected it would. You thought she would get suspicious and ask questions, but apparently you overestimated her. All you hoped was that she didn't think of it as a date. You were simply going to take her out somewhere away from headquarters and try to explain things to her, the fact that you loved her but you couldn't let it get in the way of things.
Then of course, your mind started to come with every worse case scenario possible. What if she had moved on? Would it make things awkward? Would she want you to be her commander? What if she didn't love you back and the kiss didn't actually mean anything?
You groaned, dropping your head into your hands once again. All things would be resolved on Tuesday, but until then, you had to suffer with your thoughts torturing you for pure amusement. What a sick game your mind played on you.

Tuesday came sooner than you anticipated and sooner than you wanted. You were ready to talk with Lena but what if it wasn't the right time? What if the right time had passed a long time ago and you doing this was meaningless? As your mind wandered, a Knock was heard from your door. Before answering, you checked the town. Four o'clock on the dot. It was Lena. She was never too early and she certainly wasn't ever late. Once you opened the door you were proven correct, it was in fact Oxton who was standing in front of the door. "Oi love, this is no time for standing around. Let's go!" She giggled. You replied with a simple nod.
You had decided to take her to a garden that was in the center of the park in the closest city. It was quiet, it was out in fresh air and there weren't many people around if any. "You know commander... if I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a date."
"First of all, you don't need to always refer to me as commander, and second of all, this isn't a date. I just needed somewhere quiet and semi secluded to talk to you. This was the most peaceful place I could think of."
Lena stopped by the fountain and nodded towards you. "Alright then, I'm all ears." You sighed and joined her by her side.
"It's about the last mission." You said, staring into the water.
"What about it? Didn't you already talk to Morrison."
"It's not about the retreat that concerns me, Oxton."
"Then what is it? Other than that, you said we worked at peak performance."
"And we did." You could see the confusion in her face out of the corner of your eye and you could tell that she wasn't putting two and two together. "You acted very unprofessional on that mission." You finally said. Eventually, the look of realization dawned on her face as her cheeks turned a bright red.
"Is it about that?" She asked quietly.
"You know exactly what it's about." You said, turning to fully face her.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry commander! I promise it'll never happen again. Well, it never should've happened in the first place but I slipped I swear. I wasn't thinking, you're right that should never happen and I promise that I don't think-" You couldn't take anymore of rambling. You had heard enough and you knew exactly had to explain yourself without also needing to ramble. So to kill two birds with one stone, you grabbed the smaller girl by the waist and pulled her into a soft yet passionate and deep kiss. She gasped against your lips at first but once she comprehend what was going on, you felt her relax and slowly give in to the kiss. Once she did, you loosened your hold on her.
Pulling away from her lips, you looked deeply into her eyes. "Dammit Oxton... you've made me fall in love with you..." You said softly.
"My apologies... commander." She replied with her signature cheeky smirk.
