We're in LA and it's Golden Globe weekend and I had some low days over the holidays but my dad helped pull me through them. I have a final dress fitting and then hair and makeup consultations today and dinner with Richards parents and my dad. I'm out for a meeting and I get a call from Richard "Hey handsome" I say "Hiya love" he says "What's up?" I ask "My mum wants your help with her outfit and makeup and stuff I said she could join you later for your consultation" he says "Sure" I say "Great I'll send her over to your dads" he says "Okay bye" I say "Bye" he says.
It's consultation time and my first meeting with Richards mom "Nice to meet you finally Richard has told me alot about you" I say "And he's been very quiet about you" she says "You can read most things about me on the Internet and what you can't I'm happy to tell you" I say "He worries about you" she says "I know. I tell people I'm fine and happy and doing better but I know I'm still on the road to recovery and I'm scared for him to see me when everything's not okay cause that's when it becomes real and not just something we've talked about. I love your son not that I've told him yet and I want you to know that if I ever feel like it's too much for him that I'll let him go because I love him" I say "He loves you too I can hear it in his voice when he talks about you and thank you for saying that" she says and my style team arrives "You ready for the best glam team in the business to work their magic" I say and she looks skeptical "They've been doing my makeup for events like this for nearly ten years now I trust them completely" I say "Do you always get this done for events?" she asks "Awards and premieres yes smaller events I usually do my own makeup and stuff" I say "Freya which dress did you choose" my makeup artist asks "The dark blue one with the tulle skirt it's upstairs hanging in my room if you want to grab it" I say "Great" she says and once she's back we start testing looks before we decide on one "Love it and thanks so much guys I'll see you tomorrow for the main event. I'll text you the room number" I say and I see them out just as my dad arrives home "All done sweetheart" he says "Yep come meet Richards mom before him and his dad get here for dinner" I say and we go to the living room "Dad Richard mom Pat. Pat my dad Xavier" I say "Nice to meet you" he says and they shake hands. We have a great dinner and my dad approves of Richard.

The Golden Globes are here and I am getting ready at Richards hotel "I sent the team to your mom" I say once their done with me "Perfect dad says I should write a speech but I think I'll be good" he says "Write something even names of people to thank. You can do that whilst I'm getting dressed then we'll go join your mom and dad" I say "Okay" he says and with the help of my stylist I put my dress on and my shoes and accessories "Thanks Ava" I say and fix my hair and throw what I need in my clutch and Ava snaps a picture before I go back to join Richard "Will I do" I say and he looks up "Wow is all I can say" he says "It will do" I say and we kiss.
Richard finishes getting ready and once his parents are ready we grab our cars to go to the awards. Richard and I walk the carpet together our first public appearance together and we get pulled for separate interviews "Freya you look stunning as always. How's Richard feeling" she asks "He's nervous anyone would be but I'm keeping calm for the both of us thankfully or who knows what would happen" I say "What's next for you after the Last Kingdom" she says "I have something coming up whilst we wait for filming to start something I shot before the last kingdom actually that I will be revealing soon and I have some side projects non acting that I'm working on at the minute so I'm keeping busy" I say and I feel a hand touch my waist "I have to steal her back for a moment sorry" Richard says "Great talking to you Freya and good luck Richard" she says.
We've taken ours seats mine unfortunately away from Richard as all the seating was planned before we came out publicly. Bodyguard doesn't win best tv drama but Richard still has a shot. The award is being presented by Kaley Cuoco and Jonathan Grasinki from Big Bang "And the winner is Richard Madden for Bodyguard" they say and I can see the shock on his face. He hugs Idris and his parents and then makes his way over to me when he should be going on stage "I knew you could do it" I say and he kisses me before he goes on stage and gets his award "I'm utterly shocked thanks dad for telling me to write a speech. Thank you to Jed, Keely and the amazing team behind the show for giving me the opportunity and my mum and dad for always supporting me and my sisters and RDMA. Of course thank you to the beautiful funny positive force that is my girlfriend Freya who believes in me when I don't and is just so amazing and I know she's gonna do incredible things and get one of these for herself one day. You mean everything to me. Thank you" he says and he goes off stage.
I don't find him until after the show is over and we're getting ready to head to the after party "Congratulations" I say "I still can't believe it" he says "Do because it's real" I say and he picks me up and spins me round. We spend the after party with friends and we may get a little tipsy before we return to the hotel and turn in for the night.
