Chapter Two

We're in Budapest and have a full day of interviews and I have an early morning photo shoot this morning. I have a quick breakfast and shower before getting my car to the shoot. I go straight from the shoot to the hotel where we're doing our interviews and my style team get to work. I have an interview with Millie and Toby and now I'm doing interviews with Mark and Arsan "Freya welcome how was that first day on set for you" the interviewer asks "Nerve racking if I'm being honest. It was my first acting job in about a year and a half and the cast were already very close so I wasn't sure how I'd fit in but their some of the best people to work with" I say "She also spent half the first day slapping Mark over and over" Arsan says "And it wasn't one bit fake my cheek was red raw" Mark says "Care to explain Freya" they ask "So one of my first scenes is meeting Finan and the others for the first time and he mistakes me for a common working girl I'll say so I slap him as you do and you always need more than one take but after like take five I was kinda like this has gone too far I'm so sorry" I say "I forgave her pretty quick" he says "There's some mystery surrounding your character we briefly see you in the trailer but there's no real clues as to you are. What can you tell us" they ask "My character is named Ellinor and she's come to Winchester for escape she's Dane and she crosses paths briefly with Finan and shes reluctant to fall for his charms.She becomes a friend to Aethelflaed and again crosses paths with Finan along the way" I say "And I win her over" he says "Must of been refreshing to have someone not be a love interest for Uthred" they say "He's happily married and Sihtric has someone and Finan has always been quite a casanova but she changes his ways" he says "She becomes a sister figure to the rest of us there's a lot of teasing between us and we become quite protective of her" Arsan says "It helps that we had an ongoing prank war going on Mark and Arsan versus me and Millie we won" I say "Barely" Arsan says "You and Millie became close then" they say "Instantly she's become one of my best friends and she helped me find my place in London because I stupidly gave up my place in LA whilst shooting here and then had to scramble to find a place here so I wouldn't be homeless. Everyone cast and crew are long time friends now my advice to any aspiring actor out there always make friends with the crew especially catering there's been many a times I was starving on set and they brought me food" I say "To all of us their great" Arsan says and we chat some more about the show "Finally what's your plans while you wait for news of renewal" they say "I'm gonna settle into life in London and I have some things lined up to keep me busy" I say "I'm just gonna chill see friends travel maybe shave" Mark says "Same gonna relax" Arsan says "We're just gonna not see each other until we get the call and have to work together again cause this is just show we hate each other" Mark says "That's gonna be all over the Internet tomorrow 'Last Kingdom cast actually can't stand each other'" I say "True" Arsan says "Thank you so much for speaking with me. Good luck with the show and can't wait to see it" they say. We have some more interviews and then we're done "Dinner later?" Mark says "Me and Millie were thinking room service dinner welcome to join I just wanna get back to my hotel take a bath and put on some sweatpants" I say "Sounds good see you guys later" he says "We'll text" I say.

I get back to my hotel and take a bath and get into comfy clothes and Millie arrives and we have a mini pamper session before the gang arrives and we order a ridiculous amount of food and we just chill and hang out before we finally decide to sleep at two am and considering we have a fan event screening of episode one of the season tomorrow.

We all head out for breakfast together the next morning going to a favourite spot of ours here. After breakfast we head back to get ready for the screening and my style team manage to make me look less tired than I feel and I have to pack as I fly to LA later tonight and won't have much time when I get back later. I call my dad in the car on the way "So you get in around 12" he says "Yeah which will actually be like seven Budapest time and I have the day free before my Late Night taping" I say "We can grab lunch or head home and I'll make you something" he says "I'll see how I feel when I land I'm hoping to sleep most of the way" I say "You'll need time to adjust to LA time again" he says "I've just adjusted to London time and then Budapest time" I say "Don't run yourself down" he says "I'm fine dad the move was what I needed" I say "I know" he says "I should go we're almost there but I'll see you tomorrow. Love you" I say "Love you too" he says and we hang up. The screening goes great and I have time to change into comfy travel clothes and say my goodbyes to everyone and eat a quick snack before my car arrives.
