Relationship Q&A and Engagement party

Since our engagement became public we've had alot of questions from people so we've decided to do a little Q&A "Hi so we're sat in our living room also first glimpse at our house. August is napping in my lap but you can't see him. We thought we'd answer some questions about the engagement and other stuff cause you guys have been asking. Two of the most frequent questions were how did Richard propose and when are you getting married" I say "I proposed in Ireland during a hike up a mountain it was kinda planned also wasn't I thought about doing it that night at dinner but I knew Freya would hate the publicness of that so their weren't many people on the mountain and she was just standing there taking photos and I was like this is the moment" he says "He knows me so well I don't hate PDA we kiss in public but like huge gestures I hate like when you made that speech in Cannes at the Rocketman after party I was so embarrassed but it was the perfect proposal to me. In terms of when we don't really know Richard is shooting a new movie soon I'm shooting something next year and we have the new last kingdom series next year so we'll have to see. Next question any Scottish wedding traditions you'll have also will we get married here in the UK or the US" I say "I will be wearing a kilt we've both agreed on that if it's a California wedding may seem weird to alot of people and be extremely warm but we'll go with it apart from that I don't know" he says "I'm very excited to see him in a kilt. I don't think we'll get married in California I've always pictured a church wedding not that I'm overly religious or anything but it's how I always pictured it so that could be here or somewhere else who knows. You wanna pick one" I say and hand my phone to Richard "Do you think you've rushed things after getting back together only a couple of months ago" he says "No the issues that led to our breakup were completely mine and we've worked on them and it's feels right for us we both know how we want our lives to be in the next few years and marriage is a part of that. We can't say we're not gonna have disagreements or anything like that cause every couple has those. Anyway moving on would you ever work together or do you prefer to keep work and your relationship separate" I say "We wouldn't rule it out but right now we're both busy with our own projects so it would be awhile. We discuss scripts together and whether we think their the right fit for us together and we work in the same industry so I think it's hard to keep work separate but I don't think we want to either" he says "Alot of couples in a similar situation to us find it hard to get that balance and working together isn't always what's best but I think we have good communication with each other and we know if something isn't right for us to do we won't. What was your reaction to finding out about my history and mental health issues" I say "It was surprising at first because you wouldn't think it when you first meet Freya but I was completely supportive and continue to be. Her strength and bravery is one of the many things I love about her" he says and I kiss him "We're gonna leave it at that because I'm hungry and we have our engagement party/housewarming tomorrow and there's alot going on here tomorrow so we need an early night and I have a million things to do so we may do this again and thanks for the questions" I say and we say goodbye.

It's the next day and there's been a lot of preparation of the house for our party and I've been getting my nails and hair done for the occasion. We did a small engagement photo shoot a week or so ago and those pictures have been published but we plan to keep the party ones private. I've now finished getting ready and everything is set up for the party "You look gorgeous as always" he says "Thank you. So do you" I say and we head downstairs to greet our first guests. We have a few games planned and one is Richard answering questions about me kinda like the newly wed game. Lily is asking the questions "First question what was her first job" she says and I had given her the answers so Richard just has to write down his "She was a model before becoming an actress" he says "That's correct. Who is her celebrity crush" she says "Apart from me of course she had a thing for Humprey Bogart and currently fancies Zachary Levi" he says "Freya said Zachary Levi. One thing she can't live without" she says "Coffee or the camera her dad gave her" he says "She said her camera" she says "He's killing it I'm so impressed" I say "Where was your first kiss?" she asks "It was our third date. When she met all of you and we kissed when I dropped her home that night" he says "Correct again. We have two left. Freya's biggest pet peeve" she says "When we're somewhere and people are constantly on their phones or when someone is talking super loud whilst on the phone" he says "Correct again. Final one dream holiday location" she says "I wasn't sure about this one but we've talked about Thailand and also Mykonos" he says "Freya said Thailand" she says "I'd take either to be honest" I say and we continue with the party and more games and just chatting with our friends. We're both exhausted by the time everyone leaves and we get to bed.
