Chapter Fourteen

This is gonna be a chapter that has a bit of wedding planning in it before I write the wedding chapter. I'll also share Freya's look for the wedding and the look I imagined for the wedding from venue to decor to cake to first song to their wedding rings. There will be a time jump to around February. I know the story is quite jumbled but there's not alot I can do to have it continue in current time because not alot has been going on with Richard until later this year and next year.

I finish filming Batgirl in a few weeks but we have a week and a half off before we finish so I've come back home to do some wedding planning including cake tasting and hair and makeup trials with my style team. We also plan to finalise the reception decor. We also have date night tonight with Lily and Matt. First on the agenda is hair and makeup trials so Richard has gone out so that there's so spoilers of how I'll look on the day and also because we're gonna be trying them with the dress. I will also most likely be dying my hair back to my natural brown before the wedding also but I can't do that til I wrap shooting. I found it kinda easy to pick my dress considering I had no idea what I was looking for but with the help of Richards mom and Millie I found the perfect dress and I couldn't be happier with it. I've been keeping it hidden in my closet in its garment bag for awhile now.

Once hair and makeup consultations are done I meet up with Richard in town for our cake tastings "How'd hair and makeup go?" he asks "Good we think we might have a look but I'm not giving anything away" I say "You'll look beautiful no matter what" he says and I give him little kiss on the lips before we enter the bakery "So how do you envision your cake?" the bakery owner asks "We were thinking three tiers all different flavours decorated with edible flowers" I say "Okay any flavour ideas" she asks "Chocolate definitely we're both major chocolate lovers with like a salted carmel hint to it somehow, so my mom's favourite cake was a red velvet cake so want that in it and also just a plain vanilla cake with we're thinking strawberry buttercream" I say "Let's taste some cake then" she says and we consume alot of cake before we get the right ones "We were also hoping to have some cupcakes made just some different flavours" I say "Perfect we'll keep you updated with the look of the cake" she says "Thank you so much for everything we can't wait to see the finished thing" I say and we head on home after running some errands.

I make some calls to the venue and reception venue to finalise our visits later this week and I also check in with our florist and about accommodation for people travelling. My dad is keeping in contact with our photographer who's a family friend and our videographer. We're spending the weekend in Scotland with Richards family so we can sort out a flower girl dresse for his niece and a ring bearer outfit for his nephew and it's also where we're getting married following a bit of deliberation as we were always between Scotland and Brașov two places that mean alot to the both of us but we fell in love with the venue we've chosen for our reception and the church we've chosen to get married in.

Before I know it's time to get ready for our double date night with Lily and Matt. We're just having a casual dinner and some drinks "How's wedding planning going?" she asks over dinner "Getting there it's been easier doing it from here then on set between shots and we've had alot of help which has really made things easier" I say "It's not long now either" she says "No its kinda crazy but I'm looking forward to the honeymoon and time off" I say "You both deserve it" she says "Thanks Lily" I say "I'm guessing there's going to be plenty for whiskey flowing with it being a Scottish wedding" Matt says "We've made sure they have extra at the reception just in case" Richard says. We're both exhausted after drinks but I need to start packing for Scotland because we leave in two days and I have a photo shoot and interview in the morning "Bed now before you drop. As your soon to be husband I demand it" he says "Your right but don't make it a habit of telling me what to do or this marriage is never gonna work" I say "Once off I swear" he says "Good check on August for me whilst I get ready for bed" I say "Course love I'll bring you up some warm milk to help you sleep" he says "Perfect" I say and I go to our ensuite and take off my makeup and do my skincare and I have just put on my pajamas when Richard comes back with my warm milk "August is fast asleep downstairs" he says and we get into bed "Love you" I say "Love you too" he says and we kiss before turning off the lights.

We're now in Elderslie for the weekend and we've been to the church and the venue to finalise things. We plan to spend the week before the wedding here aswell for our rehearsal dinner and my grandparents are gonna spend some time here and with us before the wedding so they can meet Richard properly. Today though is about the kids and finding their outfits which I'm doing with Richards sister Cara and his mom whilst Richard his dad and Cara's husband go suit shopping or kilt shopping I guess. So far dress shopping has been semi successful as we just haven't found the one yet but we decide to try another shop before we start looking online for something. Luckily we find something in the store and it's in her size and she really seems to love it "Your gonna look like a fairy princess" I say "And you'll be the fairy queen" she says "Exactly" I say and we grab some lunch before we head home and the boys had some success too so everything is slowly coming together.
