surviving in a world like this is hard, especially if you have two twin siblings to feed. beautiful souls, the both of them, and absolute survivalists, but its hard to keep us all fed.
were currently walking through the woods, well more I am, each twin is on one of my shoulders, towards a school that an old friend of the twins back when we were at the new frontier, was currently rumored to be. I hoped upon hope that she was there, she saved the twins, helped them escape when the new frontier took them from me. the twin on my left shoulder, lily, twirled her weapon. you know those hammers that would would hit raw meat with? the one with one spiky side and one flat side? that was hers. we only had one weapon each, mine being a desert eagle pistol. rowenne, the other twin, had a bowie knife.
"connor! I see it!" lily hopped off my shoulder and ran forward. surely enough, the a set of heavy gates came into view. a boy with dreadlocks was sat on a guard tower, holding a spiked chair leg in his hands "who are you people" the boy yelled "why are you here!" he yelled again.
"we are the bond siblings? is clementine here?" rowenne yelled. the boy gasped.
"clem!" he yelled, climbing down the tower.
a girl appeared at the smaller gate. "lily! rowenne! connor! oh my god!" clem burst through the gate and into our arms. "clem oh my god I missed you so much!" lily cried out.
"come on, get inside, are you hungry. still got this ol thing I see." the brunette grinned at rowenne, eyeing up her knife. "yep, and its sharper that ever" the blonde winked. we walked into the gates, into a crowd of about nine confused teenagers. "uh clem? who are these people?" the dreadlocked boy walked over, wrapping his arm around her waist. "louis, these are the bonds, lily, rowenne and connor. you remember me telling you about them right? guys, this is louis, my boyfriend of about a year." lily grinned "clem finally got a boyfriend, I was wondering if you ever would." louis smiled, kissing the girl on the temple. "lily, I think your gonna love louis, he plays the piano. we have a spare kit if you guys wanted to play together sometime." lilys grin widened at the idea. before the apocalypse, her entire life had been devoted to her music, playing her drums in the soundproof garage until three in the morning, writing and composing songs to sing. it had been years since we had heard her angelic voice. rowenne scrunched her nose. "please no. one musical person is enough." a young boy behind us started screaming with laughter.
lily pov
I looked behind clementine and louis, to be met with two young boys, and the sight of the smaller boy made my heart flutter. "oh my god. Aj?" clem grinned
"yep Aj get over here!" he ran over, and as soon as we locked eyes, he took off at full pelt towards me. I knelt down as he crashed into my arms. "lily! you made it! your ok! I thought you died after gabe shot you!" I nuzzled my head into his little shoulder. "Aj. im ok. I survived. im here now." I looked up and instantly locked eyes with someone. she had blonde short hair, blue eyes, a small, lean stature, and she was gorgeous. not many people knew I was bi, but clem did, and she raised her eyebrows at me when she followed my gaze. I stood up and Aj hugged my leg. clem walked over to me "she is lesbian, and checking you out. her name is violet. good luck" I rolled my eyes and pulled away from Aj. already everyone had gone back to doing their own thing, connor talking with clementine and louis, rowenne gossiping with someone who had been introduced to us as ruby. my heart fluttered as the girl walked over to me.
"that's a badass weapon. mind if I have a look?" I passed it to her, my fingers tingling as they brushed against hers. she turned the meat hammer over in her hands delicately, before grinning and passing it back to me. she unsheathed her own weapon, which was a meat cleaver. we exchanged a look, before laughing. "damn, someone made violet laugh!" came a voice behind us. we both turned around to see louis, smirking at the both of us, clementine on his back, laughing. "shut the fuck up louis" her smile dropped. "hey, wanna go to the dorms?" I nodded, and we walked towards a large building.
