After all the dust had settled and everyone had been reunited with their loved ones, the family that called themselves the Avengers decided to hold a proper funeral for Natalia Alianovna Romanova, their sister. It was unanimously decided to hold Natasha's funeral at Tony's lake house. Even though she lived and spent most of her time at the Compound, Nat always enjoyed Sunday dinners and babysitting her nieces and nephews at the lake house. That and the Compound was destroyed.

A sad fact about Natasha is that she was always prepared to go. Before any high risk mission, Natasha always left videos and letters for the team. In the past, Clint would joke and say that Natasha was silly for anticipating when she would die. Now he was kind of glad she did it.

During the last five years, Steve and Brooke tried to convince Natasha to move into their Hamptons home with them and it almost worked. Natasha moved a majority of her belongings to the Rogers's guest house, but then Rocket and Nebula were in some trouble and all three adults were too focused in their personal lives to move Natasha and the rest of her things. However, Brooke decided to go through what Natasha had moved to the house. She thought it would be nice for everyone on the team to have something to remember the redhead by.

It was the day of Natasha's funeral and the team sat scattered around Tony and Pepper's living room. Brooke sat on the couch with Mikey on her lap and Hailie next to her while Steve stood behind them. Peter sat on his aunt's other side with his baby sister on his lap and his head on his mother's shoulder. Pepper held Tony's hand as a way to comfort him. Bruce stood to the side while Thor, Bucky, Sam, and Happy stood next to Steve and Rhodey sat in one chair. Darlene and May shared the other with Noah behind them. Wanda, Clint, and his family stood between Noah and Steve. Nick Fury and Maria Hill stood by the front door. Everyone had tears streaming down their faces as they watched the video of Natasha on the television.

"Everybody wants a happy ending, but it doesn't always happen like that. Fairytales are for children." Natasha wore a small smirk as she straddled a chair, leaning her head on her hand. "If you're watching this, then that means I'm gone. Clint always laughed at me for preparing for the worst, but I never wanted any of you to think that I didn't care about you. I did. I still do. I'll love all of you for all of eternity. We're doing this time travel thing tomorrow." Natasha fiddled with a ring Brooke and Tony gifted her for her birthday years before. "I trust Lynnie, Tone, and their math. I always have, but something in me is saying that something bad is gonna happen. I hope that you're not watching this with sad faces. Whatever happened to me—whatever I did—it was for everyone; everyone that we lost and everyone that lost someone. I hope you can go back to the normalcy that we had before; if we even had that. Death is always untimely, but part of the journey is the end. Don't worry. Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to. I had nothing; then I had you." Natasha paused, giving her signature smile. "I love all of you. Thank you for being my family."
