"The Stone had better be up there; for your sister's sake." Thanos said after he and Gamora arrived on Vormir.
"Welcome." Red Skull announced after Thanos and Gamora got to the top of the mountain. "Thanos, son of Alars. Gamora, daughter of Thanos."
"You know us?"
"It is my curse to know all who journey here." Red Skull said.
"Where is the Soul Stone?" Thanos asked.
"You should know it extracts a terrible price." Red Skull warned.
"I am prepared."
"We all think that at first." Red Skull said as he walked closer to the two. "We are all wrong."
"How is it you know this place so well?" Thanos asked as they followed Red Skull to where the Stone was stored.
"A lifetime ago, I too sought the Stones. I even held one in my hand, but it cast me out and banished me here; guiding others to a treasure I cannot possess." Red Skull said as he let them go the ledge. "What you seek lies in front of you; as does what you fear."
Gamora looked from the edge to Red Skull. "What's this?"
"The price. Soul holds a special place among the Infinity Stones. You might say it has a certain wisdom." Red Skull said as Thanos looked at him.
"Tell me what it needs."
"To ensure that whoever possesses it understand its power, the Stone demands a sacrifice." Red Skull said as Thanos looked over the ledge.
"—of what?"
"In order to take the Stone, you must lose that which you love: a soul for a soul." Red Skull said before Gamora started laughing.
"All my life, I dreamed of a day—a moment—when you got what you deserved. I was always so disappointed. You kill and torture and you call it mercy. The universe has judged you. You asked it for a prize and it told you no. You failed. Do you wanna know why? Because you love nothing; no one." Gamora said before Thanos turned around, seeing the tears on his face. "Really? Tears?"
"They're not for him." Red Skull said before Gamora looked at him with realization.
"No." Gamora said as she backed up, Thanos walking toward her. "This isn't love."
"I ignored my destiny once. I cannot do that again; even for you. I'm sorry, little one." Thanos apologized before he grabbed her by the arm, pulling her to the ledge before he threw her over.
"No!"
"Drop to 2600, heading 0 3 0." Steve said as Sam flew the group towards Wakanda.
