"Mama! Mama!" The little girl chased her mother in her room. "Bat ka po nag-iimpake? Saan ka po pupunta?"
"Magtatrabaho lang si Mama anak." A tear escaped from her mother's eyes.
"Babalik ka naman po diba? Diba you'll give me super raming toys!" The girl squealed.
Lumuhod ito sa harap ng anak. "Of course. Kaya magpapakabait ka rito kasama Ate Sharon mo ha?"
"Yes Mama." She hugged her mother. "I love you."
"I love you too my Queen." She hugged her mother back.
Kumalas na ang ina sa pagkakayakap ng anak niya. She got her bag at lumabas na ng kanyang kuwarto. She looked around the house they're living. She will surely miss being here.
Bumaba na ito ng ng hagdanan. Nakita niya si Sharon na walang imik na nakaupo sa sala.
"Sharon anak, mauna na si Mama."
"Ate, ate! Aalis na si mama! Say bye naman o." Sabi ng bata sa kanyang ate.
"Lagi naman e. Sanay na ako. Now go." She rudely said at umakyat nalang ng kuwarto niya.
Disappointment covered her mother's face. Nakita ito ng bata at nang nagtama ang kanilang mga mata, agad namang ngumiti ang ina. "Hayaan mo nalang ang ate mo. Baka stressed lang yun kaka-aral." She comforted her child.
"Mama, balik ka po ha?"
"Oo naman anak."
"Sa pagbalik mo, dapat di ka na ulit umaalis. Wala nang magpapatulog sakin sa gabi, wala nang magbabasa ng mga libro sakin para makatulog ako."
"E, big girl ka na diba?"
"Syempre naman!" The little girl proudly said. "But Mama, I still need you." Her face became sincere that made her mother cry. Her mother wiped her tears immediately. With no words, she brought her bag and went outside the house, leaving the little Regine sad and weeping.
"Anak ng tokwa!" Her ate cussed.
"Ate? Bakit?" Regine asked curiously.
"No. Wala. Nevermind." She said quietly.
The atmosphere became silent after that scenario. Sharon went back to her Math assignment and Regine went back to her cursive letter seatwork in school.
"Hi, kids!" Someone spoke from the door.
"Papa!!" The both of them rushed to their Father's arms.
"Namiss ka po namin ng sobra!" The Daddy's Girl, Sharon spoke.
"I miss you too. Lalo na tong si Regina ko!!" Kinarga niya ang 8 year old niyang babae at hinalikan ito sa pisngi. Sharon just smiled at the scene. Well, for her, sapat na ang lahat ng nangyayari ngayon. Without her mom, her life is better.
They stopped giggling when her father's phone rang. Binaba niya muna si Regina at kinuha ang telepono't sinagot ito.
"Hello? Yes. Sino po sila?....What!? Okay, okay. Pupunta na kami dyan." Binaba na ng tatay ang tawag.
