"REGINE." He softly spoke. I kept myself calm. Medyo kinakabahan ako kaya't pinakalma ko muna ang sarili ko. You're doing good Regine. Stay calm.

"Hi." I failed. It became shaky. "H-have a seat." Buti nalang patapos na ako sa kinakain ko.

Binaling ko ang atensyon ko kay Jaya. Sinenyasan ko siya. "Um, excuse me. I have to go to the wash room. Enjoy yourselves, please." Ms. Geronimo just smiled at me.

Agad naman akong tumayo at naglakad papunta sa washroom. I looked myself at the mirror. Regine, get a hold of yourself! Hindi to first time na nalaman mong may girlfriend na si Piolo okay? Nagmumukha kang affected. Nagmumukha kang gaga.

"No, it's not like that... Ayoko lang na masaktan ka sa huli. I am just protecting you, concerned lang ako sayo." Piolo convicingly said. Hindi mo ako madadala sa mga paganyan Pascual.

"Concerned? Protecting? Protecting me from my happiness siguro. Wala na ba talaga akong karapatan maging masaya?" Nagsisimula nang pumatak ang mga luha ko. "I don't care if it will hurt in the end! Because I believe that what we have is right!"

He cupped my face. "Trust me on this one, please Reg." Dinikit niya ang noo niya sa noo ko. "Mahal kita kaya ko ginagawa to. I'm doing this for your own good, for your own sake. Wala akong mapapala dito. Hindi ka man bumalik sa akin, at least malalayo kita sa taong kahit anong oras pwede kang saktan. Pinagsisihan ko ng sobra ang mga ginawa ko sayo noon, I don't want that again to happen to you." I cried a river by his words.

"Trust? Hindi bagay sayo ang salitang trust Piolo." I looked him straight through his eyes. "You once broke it and what do you expect, na maniniwala pa ako sayo ulit? No. Never."

Lumayo na siya sa akin. "Basta, binalaan na kita. Ayoko lang na magulo ang isip at puso mo. If you need any help, I'll be a call away." The inner me rolled its eyes. Kaagad naman siyang lumabas ng silid na iyon. I immediately wiped my tears at dumiretso sa washroom. I washed my face to sure na hindi nila ako makitang umiyak.
