Dear Diary,
It's past 12am but I had to write down what happened at Homecoming before I forgot!
It was great! Cooper and I arrived and we had to take a picture at this booth place thingie before going in. The photographer told me to look cynical about men, and he gave Cooper a random rose from a decorated stand that he was supposed to try and give me. The picture came out really good, it's now on my bedside table :)
Then we had to go into the gym which looked totally different and so ghoulish and cool. Molly was there with Finleigh and they came as a witch and wizard. Finleigh is really cool, and quite quirky too. He looks at Molly like she's queen and think that's so sweet.
We all sat with each other and laughed and giggled and grinned at jokes that were quite unfunny actually. I met one of Cooper's friends, a guy named Jackson, who looked quite serious but was really nice and cool and friendly. He made a joke about penguins that I can't really remember but I laughed way too hard at it. He then proceeded to tell me that Cooper is the one with the crush and I should use it against him.
I think I died for a little there. Cooper punched him in the shoulder but didn't deny it. I'm not sure what that meant but it can't be bad can it?
Then, Olivia who was dressed as an angel got up on the stage and Cooper looked quite uncomfortable and asked me if I wanted punch as she announced that some people had been nominated for homecoming king and queen. I thought that was quite nifty, and I found out that Cooper and I had been nominated because of our matching costumes and 'overall cuteness'. I don't know what that's supposed to mean, but you know, I'll take it.
We had to go stand up on the stage (with our punch) and I was a little scared so I grabbed Cooper's hand and he smiled at me. We didn't win, but I had fun, especially since they gave me this cute tiara that I couldn't wear because of my hair and stuff. It's also on my bedside table, next to the picture!
Then I bumped into this guy named Kian who asked me if I'd show him where Cooper was and I felt so awkward because he looked so sorry and upset when I said I couldn't. He went looking for him, and they had this really brief exchange before Cooper came over to me with a frown on his face. I poked him until he started smiling again.
If my female intuition serves me correct, then I think he was the best friend. Later I saw him dancing with Olivia, so...
Cooper forced me to dance with him even though my dress was very hard to dance in and I also danced with Molly and with Olivia too. She doesn't hate me for ditching her party last month, which is good. She's a nice girl and I'm enjoying being her 'friend'.
I had cake and it had a ton of sugar on it. I saved a slice for Jane who was out with family and couldn't come to the dance.
Later, when Cooper dropped me off, he insisted on walking me to the door and HE NEARLY KISSED ME, I can tell because he bent down and had this sparkle in his eye and his lips PUCKERED. My sister came outside just as he was about to I guess and yeah.
She teased us mercilessly and Cooper left with his face looking five shades pinker.
It was a really nice night, I'm glad I went with him.
