"Hazel, I've done something wrong."

"... What happened?"

"I kissed Molly."

"Huh? You're going too fast, I can't hear you properly."

"Molly came over to my house and said she wanted to apologise and I said it was okay and we were talking and laughing and she smiles at me and I think she went in to hug me but I kissed her instead and she pushed me and then called me all these names and and and she told me to never talk or even breathe near her again and - and then she left me and I'm sitting here crying in the corner now and my cheek hurts and -"

"Jane, don't cry. She didn't mean it, I'm coming over right now, okay?"

"Hazel, don't you see? It's been ruined! She hates me and can't even stand to be near me! What's even the point any more?"

"Hazel, I'm so upset!"

"I'm literally running to the bus stop, can you hear my footsteps? My mom has the car, but there's a bus just coming right around the corner and it's going to stop right in front of the Walmart right behind your house."
