FLORENCE WAS PRACTICALLY BEATING DOWN KAKASHI'S DOOR WITH HER FIST, HER PIERCING YELLS RANG IN UNISON. All to no avail as the boy she was trying to hail refused to emerge. It had been a solid week since the nine tails incident. Since then most villagers worked to repair the damage done.

Today, however, was different. Today was both Kushina's, Minato's and many others funeral. Today was a sad day.

Florence was clad in black. Specifically a long sleeved turtlenecked shirt and long, tight, black pants. The funeral started in a half hour and knowing Kakashi would be late she choose to pick him up personally. What she didn't know was that he would totally ignore her and the outside world.

"Kakashi!" Her fist rapped harder.

Silence.

Frustrated the girl resorted to jiggling on his livingroom window handle. At first she thought it was locked, but after a few more seconds it seemed to finally lift up. Satisfied the green haired girl climbed inside his house and ran upstairs.

The house was simple with wooden floors and olive walls. Her feet padded up the stairs creaking the floor. She started banging on the one closed hallway door she knew to be his bedroom. This house had become familiar to the girl over the years.

No answer. Florence twisted the door knob and pushed it open slowly. The cuttings were drawn cutting out the light, but even in the darkness she could see his bodily outline.

"Hey" the green haired girl whispered. She reached out laying a hand on his sholder as she took a seat on the mattress. It sunk under her.

Silence.

"Kakashi you have to go".

Silence.

After a few more minutes if nothing Florence shifted to lat down beside him. His back grazed her arm and she found her self delicately drawing circles on his backs centre.

"Kakashi" her words were soft, fluffy and solemn. They sunk into the dense room. "Don't shut me out".

She was scared. She was scared of what he was thinking about. A small sigh radiated from her lips.

In only a platonic act she rolled over on her side to hug him from behind. He was so alone. Isolated in his empty house. Only ghosts lerked here.

"Kakashi. We have to go" her hold tightened into a breathtaking hug.

He coughed and burrowed farther into the mattress. Sighing again Florence stood. She knew if he didn't go to the funeral he'd regret it later, so it was her duty to get him there.

With a newfound determination Florence stood and ripped the dark blankets off his bed. Before he could object she took hold of his ankle and started tugging him off.

He didn't seem to struggle, or if he did Florence didn't seem to feel it. His body slid onto the floor like a ragdoll. Kakashi laid there for for a few minutes before rubbing his tired eyes.

By the time he decided to stand up, Florence had already begun rummaging for clothes in his closet. His face was then met by a bundle of dark clothes tossed to his face.

Kakashi grunted, stumbling back and onto the bed. Before he had a second to breath Florence had stut the door and had yelled at him to get dressed. Still tired the male proceeded to do as he was told.

Even after Florence's effort to arrive on time the duo still managed to show up atleast five minutes late. Silently they crept into the crowd of mourning people and listened to the third hokage's speech.

Halfway through the sermon the sky seemed to cloud over and fat droplets of water started to fall. Florence watched as her surroundings grew dark. Then it hit her. Everyone who died, all the grief she'd been penting up. It all hit her in the middle of the ceremony. She let out a strangled wail.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she started bawling. Her shoulders shook and knees gave out as she slid to the muddy ground. Yet the world around her seemed to keep spinning and everyone seemed to keep living. All the while the girl felt frozen.

Kakashi looked down at her, tears threatening his eyes too. With a soaking hand he reached out and ruffled her soppy hair.

What a shame she was so different now from the little girl he first met. What a shame she forced to grow up so fast.
