GHOST

AS BOTH FLORENCE AND KAKASHI GREW UP THEY ALSO GREW BUSY AND IN HAND GREW APART. After the funeral Florence delved into her work. She spent more time working then anything else. The only real time her and Kakashi saw each other was at night.
It was a year or two ago that the duo started living together. They seemed to give each other a comforting feeling that could be felt no where else. Of course, they weren't dating, but that didnt stop Florence from developing a heavy crush on said male.
"Hey mom" the blank faced woman as always stared into space. She was broken.
Florence walked past her and into the livingroom. It was there that she saw the slouched form of Kakashi on the couch. Walking closer she was able to make out his sleeping face.
With a tired sigh she laid on the couch. Today was a long and strenuous day and walking upstairs had never seemed more of a hassle.
Florence's head rested in Kakashi's lap and her legs stretched out down the rest of the couch. With a groan she wiggled around, getting comfortable before fading into darkness.
When she awoke again Florence found her herself staring into the playfully watching eyes of Kakashi.
"Sleeping beauty".
She scoffed and playfully swatted at his face. "Kakashi".
"Get up, my legs are numb and I've got a mission soon".
Ignoring his words for a brief moment, she observed him. He was unmistakably good looking. Her cheeks flushed so to avoid his peering eyes she sat up casually.
"Another one?" He always seemed busy. The anbu knew he was a capable soldier so they were sure to always send him on missions.
His hands unconsciously moved to run through her green strands. Her hair was soft, Kakashi liked it. Ever so slowly his fingers slid over to trace the smooth skin of her face, over the ridge of her facial scar and blind eye.
Florence's heart sunk. She hated these lousy missions, every one made her shake with fear that one day he wouldn't return. After the war she had developed only slight separation issues, but to be fair he was the only pillar she had left to lean on.
Kakashi sighed and nodded his head. "I've got to go".
She watched as he lent over to peck her head before lazily walking to the door. He always did, peck her temple or head, sometimes he'd even hold her hand. Florence always knew in the pit of her stomach he didn't like her like that but it didn't stop the bubbly feeling that expanded within her tummy.
After all this crush had seemed to flourish seven years ago when she was thirteen. The night she yelled for him to marry her because she realized he was all she had left. Because she realized the lazy Kakashi Hatake was the only one for her.
Florence stood, her tired bones cracking. She was only a young twenty but her body sometimes felt like that of an elder. Shuffling she traveled to the kitchen from which she picked at leftover food and chips.
It was a stale kind of mood. She didn't feel happy, or sad, hungry or full. It was a uncomfortable stagnant feeling which she didn't like. Bag of chips in hand she looked to her left into the open dinning room.
Within it sat her mother. Like always she did nothing, just stare plainly at the oak table top.
The sight seemed to cause a flaring feeling in Florence. So much so she couldn't bare to stare any further. In haste she threw the chips down and walked to the door.
She might as well work. Sitting home would do her no good, especially with her corpse of a mother. It seemed like everytime she looked at that shell of a woman Florence grew angry.
'What does she deserve to waste away like this? What has she seen, nothing. Nothing. We both lost them. The only difference is that she didnt have to watch them die'. With a clench fist Florence angrily left, slamming to door closed.
With nothing else to do and no where else to go, Florence took to taking the familiar path the hospital. It was spring time. Like always the village seemed to flourish with green grass and blooming trees.
She would send the occasional nod towards passing people, but generally kept to herself. Her anger had started to simmer down though it left a sour taste behind.
A handful of minuets later she found herself in front of the hospital. A place from which she worked and spent more time at, arguably, then home. With a sigh she pushed open the doors and walked to the changing rooms.
