Prologue 05: Rewired Part 02.

As Clay took Daisy to her room, Victor followed Walter upstairs. "Okay Walter, what's going on?" Victor asked. "It's Chloe," Walter answered. "I got her a new laptop, but then something made it paralyze her."

Victor opened the door to Chloe's bedroom, but once he entered, he found his wife on the ground frozen. Victor touched Chloe's heart to see if she was still alive. "She's still breathing," Victor said. "But there's no pulse. Watch the kids for me, I'm going to take her to the hospital." "Alright," Walter said. Victor got out his phone, and dialed 911 to call for an ambulance. "Hello, 911," Victor said. "My wife is paralyzed, so can you come by with an ambulance please?"

"Copy that sir," 911 said. "We'll bring our closest ambulance to you." As Victor, and Walter went to go wait outside, a red light glowed from the laptop, and started laughing evilly, meaning that the Nemesis Virus has responsible for paralyzing Chloe. The laptop closed itself after killing off Victor's wife, and continued through the network cables.

As Victor, and Walter got outside, they sat down on the front steps while the ambulance comes. "I'm a very terrible husband," Victor said. "I just left to pick up the kids after I was done at work, and when I return I find the love of my life paralyzed." "Hey, you can't blame yourself for something you weren't involved with," Walter explained. "It's just a simple problem with a computer. Even they have trouble with new tech users. Just give them time, and make sure not to hurt yourself."

The ambulance finally arrived in front of the house, where the van said that the hospital was owned by Cyber Tech. The paramedics came out of the van with a wheel bed, and then met up with the two men. "We got your message Mr. Samuel," one of the paramedics said. "Now where's the woman?" "In the house at her bedroom," Victor explained. "Be careful when you head up the stairs though, we don't have staircase carpets." As the paramedics entered the house, they got upstairs, and placed Chloe on the wheel bed, then brought her into the ambulance. "We better get her into a hospital bed, and fast," one of the paramedic said.

"Is it okay if I come by, and stay with her?" Victor asked. "Seeing that she's my wife and all, the least I can do, is help her get better." "Sure, just try not to interfere with what we need to do," the paramedics answered. As they got Chloe into the ambulance, the paramedics drove off towards the hospital. "You'll stay and watch the kids for me, right?" Victor asked. "I'm sure they won't mind seeing that you both are gone for the night," Walter answered. "I'll just tell them that you went to the fanciest restaurant in Vegas for a date." After grabbing his keys, Victor got in his car, and followed the ambulance truck towards the Cyber Tech hospital, where the paramedics already took Chloe inside.

Victor followed the paramedics into the hospital, where they reached Chloe's room, and placed her on a bed. "Now just wait for the doctor to come, which should take a couple of minutes," one of the paramedics said. Victor nodded at the paramedics as they left, then held his wife hand. "I'm sure the doctors will know how to cure you of your paralysis, honey," Victor said. "Even in injury, I will always help you out. I promised that the second we first met, and I don't plan on leaving you. Even in the condition you are in, I am still going to be your husband, because I love you, and that will never change."
