Five years later, it was 2034 already, and Clay was now in the high school stock car racing club. Clay was racing a lap, in the school race track against time, until he finally crossed the finish line, and stopped his car.

Clay's mechanic then came over to him, once he got out of his black, and red race car. "So, how was the time this time, Ricky?" Clay asked. "3 minutes, and 21 seconds," Ricky answered. "Damn it," Clay said. "I wanted to go lower." "Well last time you did 6 minutes, and 54 seconds, so I think you're getting hard to keep up with time," Ricky explained. "Whatever, I'm going to get something to drink. This time racing has made me thirsty."

As Clay went to go get something from the Coke machine, Ricky wrote down his time progress. "Another achievement to give to the club president," Ricky said. "It was good, but everyone at school knows you can do better." "Well let's just hope I don't do other crap like time challenges," Clay said. "I need a real test. A real way to prove that I'm an awesome driver."

"Well my older brother collects remote control vehicles for a living," Ricky explained. "Maybe I can ask I can borrow one of them to have it race against you." "I don't need some Air Hogs sh*t to race against," Clay explained. "I need real opponents. The racers of NASCAR hate each other, and play for a trophy, so all I need is something to help me achieve victory." "Well, there aren't that many teens at this school who race like you, so I'm sure some other schools in Las Vegas might go up against you," Ricky said.

Suddenly the speaker on one of the walls of the school buzzed. "Clay Parks, please come to the principal's office," the announcer said. "Your grandfather is here to pick you up." "Well, looks like I need to get going," Clay said. "See you tomorrow." "Okay," Ricky said. As Clay headed to the locker room to get his stuff together, someone noticed him taking his racing jumpsuit off. "That was some pretty sharp racing you did out there," the person said. Clay turned, and found it was a girl the same age as him, wearing one of the school uniforms. "Thanks, I've been practicing ever since I joined the club," Clay said. "Just started racing last week." "Well how did you learn to drive like that?" the girl asked.

"My grandpa taught me, when I turned 13," Clay answered. "Besides from being a mechanic, he told me that he was a race car driver back in his days." "So, what got you into racing exactly?" the girl asked. "NASCAR," Clay answered. "It's one of the best entertainment sport in the world. It inspired me to become a racer as well. Wait, why are you asking me these questions?" "I'm doing a news blog for my website," the girl said. "I'm sure you'll love hearing about yourself, once it's posted. The name's Penny by the way." "Clay Parks, it's a pleasure," Clay said. "Now wait here, I need to finish getting changed."
