Clay drove back into the garage, after Mr. Leonard reopened the door to it, and got out of the car, after taking the keys out of the ignitions, and putting them in his pockets. Mr. Leonard, Ricky, and Penny met up with Clay once he was out.

"That was an amazing display," Leonard said, and shook hands with Clay. "Clayton, you've just earned yourself a spot in this years tournament. Remember that it starts in two weeks, so be sure to come at approximately the tenth of June." "You can count on me being there, Mr. Leonard," Clay said. "I just can't wait to see what the grand prize is." Mr. Leonard nodded, and walked back towards his office.

"Nice work out there, Clay," Penny said, and went up to hug him. "Yeah, for a minute there, I thought your new car was gonna get scratched," Ricky agreed. "But you showed that course what for." "What can I say," Clay explained. "Racers kick ass on the highway, and on the battlefield. And that is exactly what I did."

Clay's phone buzzed, and found that his stepfather was calling. "Sorry, I need to take this," Clay said. "My stepdad is calling." "Okay then," Penny said. "Are you still free tonight for our date?" "You know it, honey," Clay explained, and walked towards the vending machines where he could talk with his stepfather. "Alright Vic, shoot," Clay said. "How did the audition go?" Victor asked. "I got in," Clay answered. "So is that all you came in to contact with me about?" "Not exactly," Victor explained. "I want you to head back to the bunker lab so I can explain everything."

Victor hung up, just as he explained. "Ricky, we better get going," Clay said. "Okay, but we're low on fuel," Ricky explained. "We'll get more fuel when we head back to my mansion," Clay said. "I'll see you tonight, Penn." "See you tonight, too," Penny said, and waved goodbye. As Clay, and Ricky got back into the car, where the exit to the building opened, and Clay drove out, and back into the streets. "Place your seat belt on," Clay said. "This is going to be a bumpy ride." "How bumpy?" Ricky asked. "Well let's just hope you'll be safe in that seat," Clay answered. "Wouldn't want my mechanic to die from all the acceleration this puppy has." As Clay drove back home with Ricky, Nemesis's apprentice was spying on them.

"Master, the racer is leaving the stadium now," Chaosa said. "Excellent, my apprentice," Nemesis explained. "He's not even aware of what I have in store for him. Now, while my servants are busy at the prison, I want you to keep spying on him until we can spring in, and destroy him." "Sounds easy enough, Master," Chaosa said. "But what do we need from the prison, anyway?" "One robot isn't strong enough, so we'll be needing generals to assist in our army," Nemesis explained. "You however aren't ready to take on the child by yourself, so I'll be creating other robots out of the inventions we stole."
