Few months later

"Nikki no.."

Meera moved around the kitchen and picked up the butter paper. After greasing the tray, she placed the butter paper and greased it again. In between she stopped her movements to write down the things in her notebook.

After withdrawing from the university, Meera joined a culinary school. She met new people and finally did what she wanted to do. The school was great. Her family was happy to see her smile.

"But why not? He is a really great guy! You told me that you want to experience things and I'm simply helping you. Just one date. Please Meera. I already told them that you agreed."

Nikki rested her back against the counter while her fingers played with the vegetable filling. "Don't touch that." Meera picked up the bowl before layering it over the pasty paper kept in the tray.

"I'll do anything Meera. Just one date. I can guarantee that he is a nice man. He is majoring in Music, plays piano, has the most beautiful laugh and the best thing is that he has the cutest dog ever."

Nikki said in a dreamy voice. She remembered the time when she first met him. Everything about him was enchanting. He was friendly and lovable, simply adorable.

"Nikki-"

"Please Meera!" Nikki immediately held her hand in desperation. "I'll do anything girl. I promise I won't force you into this again. Please.."

Her puppy eyes made Meera bite her lips. She doesn't like to see people request her like this. One date won't hurt right?

She sighed loudly and Nikki mentally celebrated her victory. She knew that it would work.

"Just one date."

Yeri came from behind and greeted Meera who smiled back acknowledging her presence. Yeri and Meera became good friends in a short while. After being friends with boys, it felt a bit awkward to have a girl friend. Girls were really causal with each other unlike the time when the boys were careful around her.

"Wow. You look different." Yeri said lowly while leaning forward to look at the difference. "Your make up is different. Are you going somewhere?" She raised her eyebrows in a questioning manner.

"My cousin set me up with someone. I'm going to meet him after class."

"Well I hope it turns out well. I'll be cheering for you so don't you dare forget to tell me all the details." Meera smiled at her mother like tone and nodded with a smile.

After finishing all their work, Yeri went to her part time while Meera took a different bus to meet the guy. Since he had a dog they decided to meet at a dog cafe.

Meera couldn't lie to herself. She was excited for this. She's never been to such blind dates or dates in general. The idea of meeting someone new was thrilling to her. She was looking forward to meeting the guy who made Nikki head over heels for him.

She carefully opened the door and looked around the cafe. There were some pups and dogs playing with people who happily fed them. The whole ambiance was friendly and welcoming.
