"But how do you know her parents?"

Mrs. Im bit her lower lip and looked away. Jaebum moved away from his mother's lap and sat properly to look at her. Mrs. Im pondered over it. She wanted to tell them because it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't like those big secrets that would change their lives forever.

It was a simple incident that brought people together.

"Beom-ah.. do you remember that accident in Japan?"

Jaebum nodded. It was something that he could never forget. He remembered how his younger self was scared to the point of giving up on everything.

Flashback

"Yeah!"

Eight year old Jaebum clapped his hands when he seated himself on the bit comfortable chair of a restaurant. It was a traditional Japanese restaurant.

His father, Mr Im moved forward and ruffled his hair playfully.

"It's the last night of our vacation in Japan. I don't want to leave."  

The then Mrs. Im smiled. Her pitch black hair and clear glossy skin made her stand out from the crowd. Her aura and confidence were still the same.

"Let's order." Mr Im said and the family quickly decided their food. They laughed and talked about different things. Everyone looked so happy.

Soon their order came. The waiter carefully placed the plates on the table with a smile on his face.

"There will be fireworks in an hour. Hope you will enjoy that." The waiter informed making the little boy's eyes sparkle in excitement.

"Fireworks?!"

"First eat properl- Jaebum!"

Jaebum ignored his mother and stood up from his seat to run to the big glass doors of the restaurant to look at the grounds hoping to see the preparations going on for the fireworks. He placed his hands and nose on the glass to get a clear view.

"Jaebum."

He immediately moved away from the glass and ran back to the seat when he heard his father calling him.

On his way back, he bumped into a lady making her almost lose her balance. Luckily her husband caught her from the side.

"I am so sorry." Mr Im rushed to the couple and apologised. The lady was pregnant. The big bump was evident.

"It's okay." The lady said. She bend a little to pat Jaebum's head. "Be careful. You could yourself hurt if you run around like that." Jaebum nodded and bowed.

"He is such a good kid." The lady's husband said and the couple left to occupy their seat.

"What happened?" Mrs. Im asked. Though she saw what happened, she was curious to know more.

"He just bumped into her. They didn't say anything."

Mrs. Im observed that lady. "She seems to be around seven months pregnant." Then she turned her attention to her son who kept looking at his lap.

" It's rude to leave like that." Mr Im said in a softer tone. Jaebum nodded. He was worried seeing thinking if he had hurt her. "The food will get cold. Here." He nudged his son to eat. The boy picked up his chopsticks and began eating.
