The exams for the first semester ended in a blink of an eye. Meera was satisfied with her performance and was expecting good marks. It was not the case for others but it didn't matter because they all knew it's all temporary.

"Let's go for lunch!"

Yugyeom wrapped his arm around Jungkook's shoulder to pull him closer. Mingyu laughed seeing his flushed face. Bambam's exams were over a day before so he went to Thailand to his family.

"No I can't. You guys go ahead." 

Jungkook politely refused and was in a hurry. He told them that he would text them in the group chat. Before leaving Mingyu asked him when he would be back. Jungkook didn't know how to respond to that. He licked his lip trying to think of an excuse.

"You're meeting Dahyun?"

The question caught him off guard. His eyes widened wondering how he knew about her. He looked at Meera who stiffened hearing the familiar name. The time her husband mistook her for someone else was clear in her mind. She took a breath and looked away to not make it obvious but Jungkook caught her.

Mingyu thought that he wasn't supposed to say it so he cleared it, "I saw a text on your lock screen this morning, it had a message from some Dahyun and that you're meeting her?"

Jungkook relaxed on hearing that. He cleared his throat, "Umm actually she is my cousin from mother's side. We're meeting today so.."

No one doubted him and bid him byes. They went for a small celebration lunch while Jungkook went to meet Dahyun, Jaebum's ex.

"You don't trust me, do you?"

Dahyun sipped her drink and looked at Jungkook observing his movements. The detective gave her all the details about the boys. Yugyeom and Bambam went to the same school and then met Jungkook in their tuition classes while preparing for the national exams. Mingyu is in Jungkook's major and they all got to know each other.

Since Yugyeom was sort of a family, Dahyun struck out his name from her Meera's Saviour list. Bambam was close to Meera and it was obvious that they were just close friends. Mingyu has been going out dates with a girl who lives in the same building as him.

And that leaves Jungkook who had taken the number one spot on the list just because Dahyun's intuition said so.

"I have no reason to trust you. Do you think that I would believe some random girl who says that she's been going out with my friend's husband?"

Jungkook scoffed. He didn't want to come but when she mentioned Meera, he had to go.

"But you believed this random girl and came here." The man couldn't say anything and picked up his ice tea to finally taste it. Dahyun took out her wallet and showed a picture to Jungkook. It was her picture with Jaebum which they took on their 300th day of being together.

"Do you still think that I'm lying? I want you to protect your friend from being heartbroken."

Jungkook curled his fingers in a tight fist as he held the picture. He wanted to wipe that smile off Jaebum's face and tear that picture in pieces.

His mind was all over the place. He didn't want to believe the woman in front but he also didn't want Meera to suffer because of her husband when he knew everything. He took a deep sigh.
