"Have a safe flight."
Mrs Im said and walked up to Meera to hug her. "Don't force yourself with anything. Just try to get to know him. He might be too much to handle but I can feel it that he'll be a great husband." Meera nodded and smiled at the old lady.
"And you young man." She attracted Jaebum's attention. "You better treat her right or I'll kick you out of my place." It was supposed to be a serious threat but Jaebum hugged his mother with a cute pout on his face. "Okay eomma~" Mrs Im tapped his cheek and pulled away.
"Bye~"
After an hour of flight the couple reached their honeymoon destination. Jeju Do. They both went to the hotel in a big flashy car. Just some Jaebum's things. He likes everything classy and with status. There are times when he loves to show off. He got off the car and paid the driver a good tip.
"Sir, your room key." The receptionist gave Jaebum his room key. "Sir, Ma'am, we do have a lot of couple and honeymoon packages like Spa and massages. Would you like to try something?"
Jaebum looked at Meera to see her reaction. She was absentmindedly playing with the wedding ring while looking around. "We'll think about it." He smiled professionally and walked following the bell boy who had their bags.
It was already late evening so they decided to order dinner and rest for the night.
"Do you want something specific?" He asked while going through the menu. Meera dried her hair with a big towel and approached him. "I don't have an appetite." She sat next to him and blankly looked ahead to the window.
Their living room along with the bedroom was elegantly decorated. It had everything that a newly married couple could ask for. From a big chandelier to a jacuzzi. A big fluffy bed to beautifully decorated flowers in a big vase at different corners of their suite. Yet something was missing for Meera. She just did not feel good about this vacation or honeymoon.
"Don't sleep with an empty stomach." He said and picked up the phone to order. "Okay." He hung up and walked to his bag to take out his laptop. He went to the living room while Meera went to the balcony. He will work now. She thought and sighed. So much for being a good husband. Not because it mattered to her but he shouldn't have said such things in the beginning for her to hope.
"Jinyoung." Jaebum said in an authoritative tone. He wanted to work a little before going to bed but Jinyoung wasn't helping him a lot.
"'No Jaebum. You should be spending time with her. I can make the presentation. Just go to her." Jinyoung was so close to hanging up but he is not just his friend. He was his boss too.
"I'm not gonna ask again." Jaebum said darkly and by this time Jinyoung knew that he was making his boss mad and it might effect their honeymoon more.
"Okay fine. But after completing this presentation you will not work for the rest of the vacation." Still he had a duty of a friend.
"Send me the PDF." Jaebum hung up and began typing something on the laptop.
Minutes later the doorbell ring. Meera attended the door.
"Good evening mam. Here is your order." He asked for permission to get inside. Meera smiles and made way for him. He skilfully placed the trays on the table in the living room.
"I will be your personal butler. Do let me know if Can I be of any help to you." He bowed properly and left. Meera plated food for her husband.
"Here." She kept the plate on the table along with a glass of water. Jaebum softly hummed without keeping his eyes of the laptop screen. He wanted to complete the presentation as soon as possible for the next day's online conference. Jinyoung could have done it but he himself feels restless when he doesn't work.
