"Mmh.. this wine is good. You have an amazing taste I see."

Miho smiled at Jaebum and took another sip of that dark liquid. After thinking a lot about it, Jaebum decided to ask her out for a dinner and then see how things go. He brought her to a fancy restaurant with full length glass windows giving a breathtaking city view.

"More of a trial and error."

The dinner went by nicely. They both talked a lot and clicked well. After the dinner Jaebum drove her back to her place. It wasn't late but he didn't feel like sending her home, alone.

"I guess this is it." Miho said when they reached her home and she moved back to take her blazer. It was quite chilly.

Jaebum was about to say something, more like ask her out again but she stopped him. Her round eyes looked soft at the moment and it made him regret his action.

"I can't."

She knew what he wanted to say to her. All his little actions and gestures were obvious to her. But she couldn't. She had her reasons. Jaebum just nodded trying to understand her position.

"Don't get me wrong. You're a really great guy Jaebum. But I'm not meant for such relationships and commitments."

"There must be a reason right?"

Jaebum wanted to know more about her. He was curious as to why she wasn't ready to commit to relationships. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable by being nosy but he was dying to know.

"I'm not sure as well. I mean everytime I'm in a relationship with someone it doesn't end well. You wouldn't even feel like you're in a relationship if it's me. I just don't feel like being a girlfriend. There are much more things in like which I want to experience. I have this thought at the back of my mind that relationships will sort of stop me from experiencing those things because I have to prioritise someone before those wishes."

Jaebum nodded in understanding. He could feel what she was trying to say. She was an independent person who had her separate life.

Miho kept a hand over his hand to catch his attention. He looked at her smile.

"Cheer up. I'm not the only girl on this planet."

Jabeum ended up chuckling, internally thanking her for lifting up the atmosphere. While moving away his eyes caught a little boy in a balcony, looking at them. Miho followed his gaze.

"Oh. That's my son, Yuki."

She smiled looking at the boy who waved back. Jaebum was taken aback. "You have a son?"

"I adopted him when he was two. He is actually my friend's biological son. She was a single mother. Her family and she died in an accident. There was no one so I brought him home. He is my home."

That moment Jaebum felt bad for judging her. Even if it was for a second. It wasn't something unacceptable. If he dated her he would treat that boy with love but he regretted for judging her after knowing that she was a mother.

Miho could see it in his eyes, the small flicker that was for a second. She lowered her eyes.

"Miho.." he called for her softly as he cupped her left cheek. He gently made him look at her.

"If it's because of your son that you're not dating then it's alright, I respect your decision. But I don't want you to think that I will reject you because of this. You're a wonderful woman and it takes a lot of courage to do what you did. I admire you a lot."
