Chapter 16

RILEY's p.o.v.

  She's still asleep her phone is blowing up. It must  be Josh. Her phone is in her hand so I'm not going to mess with it. I don't want to wake her.

We soon pulled into Charlie's house, my friend from muscadine bloodline. I leaned over and to wake her up even tho I didn't want to because she looks so peaceful.

I place my hand on her thigh and lightly shook it.
"Av.... wake up. We are here. Avery... Avery wake up." I said as she opened her eyes looking into mine giving me a soft smile.
She sat up and looked at her self in the mirror and we got out.

Charlie met us at the front door with his girlfriend
"Hey man" I said shaking his hand into a man hug "this is Avery my best friend of 18 years"
"Hey it's nice to meet y'all" she hugged them

Her phone started ringing
  "Y'all go on in I have to take this" she said walking to the truck leaving against the hood

Avery's POV

"It's nice to meet y'all!" I hugged Charlie and his girlfriend

We were about to go on when my phone started ringing. I saw it was josh.
  "Y'all go on in I have to take this" I stepped off of the porch and walked to the truck leaning against the hood.

"Hello?"
"What are you doing?" Josh said sounding mad
"I'm at a friends house" I said not lying
"Riley's house?" He asked.
"No im not at Riley's house"
"Why didn't you answer me back all morning" he asked raising his voice
"Because I have been asleep" I told him.

"I'll be leaving here in 4 to come back to NY.  I'll see you when I get there" I told him hanging up the phone.

I walked back inside. Wow this house is beautiful

"Everything good?" Riley asked
"Yeah. Josh was just checking in" I smiled

We hung out for a while until Gary, Charlie's band mate and his wife show up.
They played guitar and sang songs and we sat around the fire and had a few drinks.
  Riley was too drunk to drive home so I drove us. I only had 2 all night and he had about 9-10
Honestly I don't want to leave home here but I'm ready to be back in NY I like the difference in the people and the scenery.

The next morning I wake up and get ready for the day. I walk over to Riley's house and he's still asleep. So I start jumping on his bed
   "Wake up wake up wake up!!!!"
"Uggggg no Av why do you do this" he said with his deep sexy morning voice.
"Its thanksgiving day! Come on we have to gooo" I said straddling him trying to tickle him but I never win. He always flips us over
"Why do you even try anymore? You always loose"
Knock knock
I turned to see Karen at the door.
"Avery you're mom and I are going to start cooking. Would you care to join?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am I'll be there in a second."
"I just love you too so much" she said walking out of the room
Riley sticks his tongue out coming closer to my face
   "No riley. Don't you dare. Don't do it ahhh"
I screamed as he licked my cheek
"You're nasty" I said pushing him off of me
"You're sweet" he said and I laughed

"I'm here. What do I need to do?"
   "You can set the table and then I need your help in the kitchen" my mom said.
"Oh honey before you start that can you run to the house and get the eggs?"
  "Just use mine"Karen says
"No we have way more than enough. Our chicken are laying like crazy" mom said.

I ran home and got the eggs.
  Came back set the table then I cooked the bacon and eggs. While mom and Karen make the homemade biscuits and gravy.
   "You ladies have it smelling great in here" Riley's dad came into the kitchen to get him some coffee
"Good morning Avery, and Michelle(my mom)" he said we replied good morning
     My family soon arrived and Riley's family
