Hey guys so today i wanna talk about how it's always the same old friends and background characters that we see over and over again

also I wanna point out offensive stereotypes

The best friend or the basic Susan

The best first is always annoying or a shit friend she's always this loud ass party girl who is the total opposite of the main character is every way the basic Susan character is ether wiggling her eyebrows saying sorry yelling out dumb things in crowds forcing the main character to go somewhere to only abandon them as soon as they get there . She  hasn't a clue the main character is being bullied/abused or does nothing about it the character is more like a girl you know from school than a friend it's always the same kind of girl with same personality we can't help but wonder why the main character is even friends with her and hate when she makes an appearance

If the girl has a guy friend she treats him like a slave while he just says someone dumb one liners about sex every now and again I can't help but pity the guy friend Because his more like a personal assistant or treated like shit by the main character than dropped when she mets her main D

Same old same old background characters

Parents if they're not abusive they're dumb as shit like honestly the main character can stay out all night act different or this random older creepy guy turns up at the house and they'll be ok with him just walking up to her bedroom like he owns the place even when the character is badly bullied they don't Notice their child is badly injured I can't help but wonder why can't the writer ever make the main character have normal parents is it that hard to write

Other background characters include

The main boys sex obsessed best friend .
All girls that aren't the main character being fake sluts for some reason 🤷🏾‍♀️.
Wise random strangers that know  what say the right think at the right moment unknowingly usually an old black servant 🙄
The main boys neglectful rich parents

So let's talk about stereotypes that I'm sure a few black girls or gay males have been ether offended or at least cringed at

Why do y'all think every black girl acts like she's from the ghetto ? I find it really offensive . shocking we don't talk or act like we just walked out of a rap video unless the story takes part in a ghetto stop fucking stereotyping us !

And I live in London were gay culture is alive and well ( I know it's amazing ) but not all gay men act like they stepped out of a 1980s slightly homophobic sitcom the LGBT community comes in all shapes and sizes and no two people are the same not all gay men are sex obsessed fem boys who make sex jokes 24/7  it's amazing to have LGBT or POC in stories but please don't use stereotypes

Stop stereotyping all your background characters like they're out of a 80s cheesy high school cringe fest
