I hate when the basic bitch is just so unlikeable and the book is actually interesting but i can't get passed the whinny annoying main character so I've to put down an otherwise good book
recently I was brushing up on my cliches for "research" not because I've watched everything on Netflix or anything I found a gem this really interesting and original book but unfortunately while the chapters went on the MC got extremely annoying selfish and toxic. I started off really liking the character but they the end I wanted her love interest to dump her and it got me thinking...
Most cliche main characters are like that honestly their best friend or even the love interest could be going through some hard time and basic bitch will freak out and make it about themselves
For example the story I was reading that took place in a collage and basics friend who I'll call Becky got drugged and raped at the party were basic bitch abandoned when she already super drunk by stalker zanders friend jake instead of comforting her friend she made it about her and ran to zander crying blaming him even tho she was with him when it happened ,she made everything about her she even called Becky a slut who had it coming when Becky told basic bitch she was a shitty person and turned into a bad friend since she met zander somehow Becky was the asshole and basic was the victim
Like who the fuck does that????
The main character has to be likeable but she never is she's a selfish attention seeking judgemental cheating toxic cunt that if it isn't about her it's an attack on her so please make them someone I want to win not get killed off by an exploding toilet
I've two more chapters in me before I finish this book 📚
