So after a weekend of reading the walking dead fanfics I can't help but ask a lot of writers have any of you even watched the show ?

Like come on Daryl Dixon and negan fanfics are so cringe it's the same with rick, genn Maggie and Beth . I get you want to make the story your own but at least try to get the personalities right

The same goes for events and deaths don't have your character be immune to walker bites because in season one and five the cure is brought up and surprise the main character forgets they're immune and can save humanity

What I find absolutely hilarious is the fact the mc will be a city girl with a normal job but have crossbows machine guns and samurai Swords just laying around the place our "it was my grandfathers" like honestly the story takes place in America so a handgun is believable if you want your mc to have a better weapon maybe they'll find a machine gun on a dead police man it's way more realistic

Also what's with the werid ass weapons and runway outfits like I get you want to make your character unique but come on ...be realistic I doubt you'd get far in a zombie apocalypse with an all leather BDSM looking outfit with your rattlesnake launcher 😂

The mc will literally have zero character development and are unrealistic it's like they've been preparing for the apocalypse their whole life
she will literally be this normal city girl who works at Walmart and you expect the readers to believe she has all these survivor skills and is armed to the teeth with weapons nah Hun that shit don't fly with me

And age is so important I think it's sick y'all have characters like Daryl rick and negan dating high school girls it literally goes against their characters
The same with Carl he is a kid so like him make your mc one

If you're gonna stick to the plot add parts in for your character not just have them steal other characters scenes it makes the story so boring also I'm sorry but you can't bring characters back form the dead it ruins the plot because every death added something to it

With walking dead love triangles please make more I actually really like those I wish we had more in the show

So making a waking dead fan fiction like any other show don't ruin the characters stick to their original personalities and plot have your character realistic no one can just become a super bad ass over night not even queen carol could and don't I mean don't make Daryl a pussy or yourself immune
