I know I kinda covered this before but I think the alcoholic Karen and Dave deserve their own chapter

So what I've learned about quotev and wattpad is that y'all think the sadder the backstory the more interesting the story will be and a lot of the time it's Usually that the mc parents are dead or abusing her so let's begin

So the most cliche or should I say stupidest things I've seen are normal middle class white Americans arranging their 16 year old daughter to be married to a rich CEO or her bully like WTF I know arranged marriages do happen but not in America expect if your family is in some weird religions cult or something but seriously the parents will bring our basic bitch to dinner and happily announce she's getting married expect her to be ok with it her mom might cry or something and the mc will agree because they owe money or they got bored one day ....even when arranged marriages happen because the girls rich parents Want her to join companies it's unrealistic like has any ever heard of a contract?
Sorry unless the story takes place in like 1800 it's a pretty dumb plot I've seen countless stories were the mafia king goes to kill the girls family and her family just offers their daughter to be his wife and ofc our basic bitch has a magic virgin vagina that makes every guy fall in love with her like honestly what if the guy was married or gay ? Or just didn't want to marry our basic bitch because surely with that much money and power he can do way better than marrying a stranger he just met idc how hot a girl is !

And ofc 7/10 stories will have our MC with alcoholic abusive parents and yes I know this happens in real life but honestly sometimes y'all take it over board it's always the same story the mom or dad will be hard working and a loving person till one day they pick up a bottle of jack Daniels and forget to put it down they'll beat the mc for no reason to the point it gets silly I've read books were the mom hits the girl with a car and she gets up with a slit lip and heads to school the mc will get the shit beat out her before and after school every day I know the stories and characters are fake but come on ? No one could take that and just get a tiny bruise as well if the parents are drunk and high all the time how do can the mc afford an expensive dress for the ball a car and a phone ? How isn't she or her mom/dad not dead or really sick ?

And even if the parents aren't assholes that are always drunk they should be arrested for neglect the mc can be badly bullied have older guys in her room or move out completely and they wont even notice I've seen stories were the town bad boy basically tells the parents that their daughter is going to move in with him to become his sex pet or one direction says she coming on tour with them and they'll "that's ok we are glad she's making friends " omg 🙄 what parent would actually let this happen?

And other cliche is that one or both of the parents are dead and they always die in a car crash if one parent dies the other will turn to drink and drugs than start abusing the mc my dad died not long ago (hate crime ) and my mom was depressed but she didn't turn to drugs and because a whole different person so I know that doesn't happen
