The eight black Bentleys pulled to a stop out the front of Parliament House. The drivers all simultaneously walked out of the Bentleys and opened the passenger side door, as though it was a routine. From there emerged The Heads of States, all the men wearing black suites, with white button down shirts, red ties, and black leather shoes, while the girls all wore tight, black, knee-high skirts, black jackets, white blouses and a red tie. They looked a lot like flight attendants. They all walked down the freshly paved courtyard and into the building. The interior had recently been renovated, now showing the independence of Australia. The new flag now hangs between the two stairs that lead up to the Lower House Chamber, identical to the original flag, but now with a Wedge-Tailed Eagle in the middle of the Southern Cross. The marble floor had been polished to perfection, with a beautiful fountain in the middle of the room, and the walls had been freshly painted a pale white colour. The Heads of States walked up the stairs, which too were made of marble, and onto the corridor to the Chamber. The walls were now lined with portraits of Ex-Prime Ministers, each with a plaque below it with the name, birth date and if available, the death date. Upon opening the platinum doors with golden handles, The Heads of States walked to the table in the middle of the room, and took their seats. The new country's slogan had been put on a plaque, stating:

Independence is not stubbornness, Independence is might!

The room was lined with eight soldiers, each carrying a F-2000 Assault Rifle, backup Beretta 96A1 handgun, and our modern armour that could withstand a bomb explosion. It wasn't the most peaceful sight. The President walked through identical platinum doors that The Heads of States walked through, only on the other side of the room.
"Welcome everyone. Today in our meeting, we shall be discussing a topic the we have rarely ever taken into consideration." The President says, taking his seat at what seemed to be a throne compared to The Heads of States chairs.
"And so would you care to introduce us to this topic of yours?" Said The Head of Western Australia, taking moment to readjust his glasses.
"Why of course. As you know, since our declaration of independence only nine months ago, we have already been able to accomplish incredible things. We are the only nation to have zero carbon emissions and have gone completely green, we have turned to electric cars to stop pollutive fumes, we have one of the best economies in history, and have built a nature friendly society. But there is still one problem that we have yet to solve, a problem that us as humans are incapable of doing without some...help. It is because of that problem that I have brought you all here today."
"Yes, and so what is this problem and what do you propose?" Says The Head of Victoria.
"Well I am quite glad you asked. The problem is our ever growing population. Our population has grown from twenty-five million to thirty-seven million in the last fifteen years and needs to stop. Our nations food production is becoming unable to support everyone, and if we continue to grow this rapidly, I fear that we will all starve."
"And so your proposal is?" Says The Head of The Northern Territory.
The President grins.
"My proposal is to allow our military to roam the country and lower the population through mass genocide. It is the only way."
Half of The Heads of States rise up from their seats and the entire table is full of shouting and disagreements. The President raises one of his hands and everybody stops, all except The Head of The Australian Capital Territory.
"As The Head of The A.C.T it is against my will to allow such a tyrannic act of genocide be carried out upon the people of our nation!"
The President gestures for two of the soldiers and they walk to his sides, standing like statues.
"I am sad to hear that you feel this way. Could the two of you please escort Miss Joan outside. I'll deal with her later."
Without any hesitation the two soldiers walked straight to The Head of The Australian Capital Territory and grabbed her under each arm, dragging her towards the doors The President emerged from.
"I won't- I'll never allow this to happen!" She said, before the Platinum doors closed behind her, and the sound of a gunshot echoed throughout the room.
The remaining six soldiers readied their weapons, while all eyes around the table were on The President.
"What a shame. Would anybody else like to join Miss Joan? If so, please speak now."
Everybody was silent, and all had expressions of horror on their faces. This is what The President seemed to enjoy most of all.
"I guess not. So we are all in agreement then?"
There were murmurs of 'yes' and slight nodding of heads.
"Excellent" The President says. "Now, you can all leave".
He raises his hand and all of the soldiers walked to the table, and ushered The Heads of States out of the rooms.
"Oh and I almost forgot," The President Says. "Independence is not stubbornness, Independence is might!"
That's the last thing he says before they are taken out of the room, and escorted to their cars.
