"....And so when do you propose we send the troops back out for a round two?" A male voice says.

"The General told me before dawn. That way we can get them while they sleep." Another male voice says.
Everybody is so still that they seem almost dead. I turn my head to try to catch a glimpse of the arrivals. One appears to be in their mid thirties, while the other seems much older.

"Where are the troops at this moment?" The younger man says.

"They should be finishing up the outer suburbs. If not, I'll be surprised."
They walk beneath the bridge that we are lying on, and I can feel Rae shaking behind me. I turn my head down to look at her, and her eyes are sealed shut. She must be extremely frightened. I face the direction that the two men walked in. I can barely hear their conversation, and they seem to be entering the inside mini shopping centre. I see this as a chance and tap Delilah on the leg. She turns around, a scared look on her face, and then realises that it's just me.

"What?" She whispers so quietly I can barely hear her.

"Let's cross the bridge as soon as they enter the indoor shopping centre." I say nearly as quiet as her. She nods, and tells Eaton while I decide to tell Rae, whom as calmed down. They enter the indoor shopping centre, and we'll all simultaneously get up and run. We are so quiet that I turn to check Rae and Elle are running too. we stop at the other side and plan to escape this building complex via the front entrance. This route requires us to run up the stairs, go past the pool area, into one of the buildings, down two flights of stairs and out the entrance. Easy enough. We run up the stairs and along a long, white, corridor to the pool area. We get to the sliding glass doors, but all pull to a stop.

"It's locked." Delilah says.

"What? No, it can't be." Elle says, walking up the the glass panels. She waves at the sensor twice, before retreating in defeat.

"Now what?" Rae says.

"I've got an idea." I say. "What if I go back to the stairs and grab one of the really hard edged paintings on the walls. Then we can throw it at the doors and break them open."

"But that'll make a lot of noise." Delilah says.

"Well it's either that or we wait until they find us."

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm in." Elle says, moving to my side.

"Okay then. You go do that, and we can just wait here." Eaton says.

"See you soon." I say and take off to the staircase. I'm down them in no time, and pull a sturdy one with a painting of a flower on it from the wall. I take a glance over the galleria and notice something. A wall of camouflage is at the entrance, some bloodstained, and all weapons drawn. Shit.
