Chapter 21: Information

"Molly? Molly? Molly!" Ed sid when she wouldn't let go.

"Oh, sorry, sorry" she said and backed away.

"Anyway, how are you?"

"Pretty good, where's Mum and dad?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" Ed asked her.

"Well you couldnt have gotten here all by yourself could you?" she musn't know.

"Well..." He said. Five seconds of silence. Two words:

"They're dead". We wait for her to respond. She has no expresion on her face. She's still, like a brickwall, just standing there. Then that wall crumbled and fell. She burst out in tears and asked what had happened. Es told her the story, not going into too much detail, and his eyes became glossy with tears starting to come up.

"Wow" she said after she had calmed down. "How did this happen?"

"We don't actually know" Brayden says to her. Brayden. I forgot he was even here. "But we found a note on a soldiers body that says that it was the Prime Minister's doing".

"Wait really?" Molly asked.

"Yeah" Rachel says.

"Well we need to do something about this...especially if they come back". She walks over to a table and picks something up that looks like a metal sleeve.
"These are our new design of force fields. We had our old one, but that one was bigger and bulkier and rather than like this, it was more like something that would sit on the ground and stay there. But with this you just walk around and when I senses danger it get ready and when somebody attacks it creates a force field that only protects your front. It doesn't go all the way around you. And when the danger is gone it retracts". She puts it in her arm to demonstrate how to do so and we do the same.

"These are really light" I say to her.

"That's because they're made from titanium and have really light, thin magnets inside of them that creates a force that repels anything near by".

"Sorry I got lost at magnets" Brayden says.

"Don't worry, the point is they're light".

"So what else can these do?" Ellen asks.

"Well sometimes they can either rebound bullets that hit them back to the shooter and they can shoot energy discs".

"That sounds sick as" Ally says.

"What are those?" I ask.

"They're like frisbees that are made from electricity that stun and can possible kill whoever gets hit".

"Me likey" I say, examining the new titanium sleeve.

"And surprise surprise, we have even more stuff". She walks over to a cupboard and gets out some clear things that are a rectangular shape.
"Now these are for protection. They mould to your body shape and you put them over your chest. They're like bullet proof plastic". She goes back to the same cupboard only this time she pulls out a weird piece of metal that is shaped like a snake.
"These you put over your head around your neck" she says and does so, "and then it automatically..." she stops and a glass some type thing goes over he head. "protects your head". The clear glass dome then disappears, as though it isn't there anymore.
"Don't worry it's still there, it just turn completely invisible".

"What that made of?" Ellen asks.

"As usual it is electric. But this is an electro-magnetic force field. We would use it as normal force fields but we can yet make it to that scale".

"This is so cool" I say as I put it around my neck and it goes over my head.

"Let's get your mum" Ally says. As we leave we peer out the window next to us and hear the same gunshots and screams in the distance as last time, only this time, one of them sounds familiar.
It's my mum's.
