I get out of the car and have a look around, just incase any soldiers are around. The trees we pretty much crashed the car behind give us good cover and hide it nearly completely.
"The coast is clear" I tell Ellen as she gets out of the car.
"So what are we going to do now?" she asks me. "The car's been totalled and I don't think we're going to make it to Sydney on foot".
"Well we can't call them" I say, "So I'm not actually sure".
"What if we call your mum again?" she asks me.
"Well that could work" I tell her, "but why would she drive all the way out to Melbourne for? Wouldn't it be a little suspicious?"
"It could be, but what if she's just going to go to her 'sisters' house and pick up some old photos or something to remember her" she says to me.
"Oh my god! You're a genius!" I say to her, glad that she came up with this idea.
"I know" she says in a tone that makes it sound like she'd been told that before. I grab out my phone and call my mum.
"Hello" she answers after two rings.
"Hey" I say, "Our car kind of crashed the car we were driving and our stuck a few kilometres out of Melbourne".
"Oh good lord" she says in a frightened tone. "How did you manage to do that?"
"Well we were getting chased by soldiers and I went off road to try to evade them, and ended up swerving behind some trees and crashing the car".
"So what are you going to do?"
"Well I thought you could drive out and get us, but say that you're going to your 'sisters' house to get some photos of her to remember her".
"Yeah that sounds okay" she says. "I'll be there as soon as I can, oh and is there anybody with you?"
"Just my girlfriend Ellen".
"Oh" she sounds surprised. "Well I'll see you soon".
