I put the note in my pocket, so that I don't lose it. We then decide to go back to the apartment building and discuss our next room. When we arrive we sit on the couch and take turns telling everybody what each of us think we should do and not do.
"So" Brayden said, standing up in front of everybody. "I think we should totally head to Sydney. Plus, I've never been there! This way, I can finally tick it off my bucket list!"
"Well" Ellen said, standing up as Brayden sat down. "I also think we should go to Sydney, but not so that I can rock something off of my bucket list..." she glared at Brayden. "But so that we can be safe, rather than worrying about getting killed". she sat down next to me as Rachel stood up to speak.
"I'm not sure if we should go" she said.
"I mean, what if we're about to get there and the police are patrolling the roads and see us. Then they might still try to kill us". She sat down and Ed stood up.
"Well I don't know what to do" he said sitting back down. It was my turn, so I stood up and turned to face everybody.
"I think we should go" I say. "I'm not sure how we're going to get inside the city without being seen, but I still think we should go". Then I say back down next to Ellen. Ally was last and as everybody else did, stood in front of everyone.
"I think we should go too". She said and sat down.
"Okay" Rachel said, standing in front of everyone again. "so we've reached our decision" she said. "We're going to Sydney one way or another. The only thing left to do is figure out how. So, does anybody have any ideas?" she says.
"Maybe by car?" I say, unsure of how else we're going to get there.
"I know that!" she says. "But how are WE going to get there, as in, are we going to take one car or two, three, four-"
"Okay" Brayden said. "So how about we take three cars. That way, if one of us get seen, they wouldn't catch us all. But we would have to go at separate times, otherwise they could still catch us all".
"Good plan" Rachel said.
"So where are we going to get a car?" Ed said.
"Well there is a car dealership down the road" I said after a few moments of silence, surprised that somebody hadn't already suggested it.
"Well that solves our problem", she says.
"We could go there now" Ellen says. "It's only morning and there's one about ten kilometres away, we could probably get there and come back in about two or three hours".
"Okay, so it's settled?" I say. After a couple of seconds silence, I resume speaking.
"Great, well let's get some food first, I'm starving". We head down to the café and get some more food. we've nearly eaten it all and soon we're going to have to be going somewhere else to eat. I use the coffee machine to make myself a cappuccino and eat a couple of muffins.
"Okay let's go" Ally says after we've all finished. We all follow her out the door before I reel something in my pocket and I put my hand in and pull it out.
That's when I realise what it is.
It's my phone.
