The steel of the barrel is cold against my head.
"You guys are coming with me, or he gets it" obviously this would have happened already, so I hope they didn't do anything stupid.
"Where are you going to take us?" Rachel asks.
"To the other soldiers" he said, he makes a sound that sounds halfway between a laugh and a cough.
"Well you're a little shit aren't you?" Molly says. 'Oh my god, I'm so dead, I'm so dead, I'm so dead.' I thought.
"Well what is it? Either you all come with me and die, or he dies and you eventually die".
"I choose..." Molly said. "This!!" And she shot an energy disc at his head, which he deflected with his own force field.
"I see how it is" he said and shot three of his own. Ally dodges two of them by doing a commando roll, and Rachel runs the other direction, but her braid flings out the bottom of her domed helmet and gets chopped off. When Rachel turns around and sees it on the ground, she literally FLIPS out.
"YOU STUPID FRIGGEN BITCH!!!" she said, and just repeatedly shoots energy disc at him. He deflects all of them but that doesn't stop Rachel. She keeps on going, and going, and going, and going, until she gives up, tired and sweating.
"You done yet?" He asks.
"Well I'm done, what about you guys?"
"Wait for it..." Molly said. "Wait for it..."
"What now?" The man asked.
"NOW ED!" She said, and Ed came from behind and smashed him in the back of the head with his titanium sleeve, which knocked him out cold.
"Y'all better be more careful next time" he said in an American accent.
"Thanks" I say.
"No problem"
"Wait you can hear me straight away now?" I ask.
"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, you're only like ten seconds behind everyone for about five minutes" Molly said, "But the medicine still works to numb your feelings".
"That's good then" I say, before I felt a prickle in my shoulder. I start to feel drowsy, and realise that I have been shot by a sleeping dart. I notice the same one on everybody else, and Rachel collapses into sleep. I fall over too, sleepiness taking over my body. The last thing I remember was my glass-dome helmet saving my head from smashing into the concrete that we were standing on, and around twenty people dressed in full camouflage outfits walking towards us.
Then the world goes black.
