Chapter 24

Wednesday
Knock knock knock knock
Sophie: joe get the door (mumbles)
Joe: ugh fine (opens his eyes and opens the door) what time is it?
Nick: nine o clock we have to be at the photo shoot by ten, we have a radio interview at twelve, sound check at three and show starts at seven
Joe: I am half asleep and your giving me the itinerary (rubbing his eyes)
Nick: yeah let's meet downstairs at the buffet in thirty
Joe: okay fine (closes the door and climbs back into bed)
Sophie: we should get up or he's going to come back
Joe: I knowww (turns the bedside lamp on)
Clare: it's to bright (keeps her eyes closed)
Joe: yeah well we got to get up kiddo big day ahead of us
Clare: you sound like dad
Joe: he's the one that came knocking on our door which you should have answered
Clare: why should I have answered?
Joe: because he's your dad
Clare: he's your brother
Sophie: your not going to win this argument babe (gets out of the bed and opens the blinds)
Clare: it burns! (Puts the covers over her head)
Joe: who's showering first?
Sophie: I think Clare should because if we give her anymore time she'll fall asleep again
Clare: not true (takes the covers off)
Joe: yes it is
Clare: fineee I'll get up, what should I wear though?
Joe: well we have to do a photo shoot so just wear whatever and the stylists will give you outfits later
Clare: okay (gets out of bed and walks over to her suitcase)
Clare's pov
I opened my suitcase and I decided to go with a light blue soft cut out cold shoulder body con top with ripped low rise jeggings and my converse and jumped into the shower and washed myself, got out and put my hair in a high ponytail and got dressed. Once I was ready Sophie took a shower, then joe and thirty minutes later we went downstairs where uncle Kevin, aunt Dani and Tina were sitting at the booth already.

Kevin: morning guys
Sophie: morning
Joe: where's nick?
Kevin: he should be down here soon
Joe: he's the one that woke us up first shouldn't he be the first down here
Clare: haha you would think
(Nick, demi and Alena walk over to them)
Nick: you would think what?
Clare: oh that you would be down here first
Demi: you know it's not easy to tame this hair
Clare: haha girls got to take their time
Demi: exactly
(Nick hugs Clare)
Nick: how are you feeling?
Clare: better but I don't think I want to eat a lot just in case the stomach bug comes back
Nick: fine but you do need to eat
Clare: I will, Alena, Tina want to come with me to the buffet?
Them: sure
(They walk towards the buffet)
Alena: so your sure your okay?
Clare: yeah why?
Tina: I don't know you had us worried last night
Clare: aww you don't have to worry I am fine, I promise (gets a plate and piles strawberries, bananas and cantaloupe on it and grabs a water bottle)
Tina: are you sure that's all you want?
Clare: yeah I don't want to risk getting sick again, what's with all the questions your starting to sound like the adults?
Alena: we are just looking out for you
Clare: thanks but trust me I am fine (Walks to the table)
Alena: she's most definitely not fine
Tina: maybe it was just a stomach bug we should believe her
Alena: seriously?
Tina: I don't know I just know that I don't want to think she's hurting herself like that
Alena: neither do I but we have to keep a close eye on her
Tina: okay
(Alena and Tina walk over to the table and sit down next to Clare)
Clare's pov
Breakfast went by and the adults didn't question me about the fruit probably because they don't want a repeat of what happened yesterday, I know I don't want one because then I'll for sure get caught, Alena and Tina already suspect something's up and I don't need them finding out anything. I ate my fruit in silence and then we headed to the rental car and headed to the photo shoot place.

?: hi I am Casey and this is my friend Emily she's going to help me with the girls and my assistant Derek and Sam will help the boys sound good?
Them: yeah
Casey: alright let's get the girls into hair and makeup and then we'll get them into wardrobe we are going to have several outfit changes just to let you know
Them: okay
(Casey and Emily take the girls to the dressing room and Derek and Sam take the boys into the dressing room as well)
Casey: okay so the first pictures we are going to do are parents and kids so Clare your going to match demi, and girls you'll match your mom
Alena: are we going to wear the exact same thing?
Casey: no just colors are going to be coordinated
Alena: oh okay
Casey: and we are going to curl your hair for this photo shoot
Girls: okay
Clare's pov
An hour later our hair and makeup were done and Casey dressed demi in a black sequined crop top with blue ripped skinny jeans and they put me in a black crop top with sequins on the shoulders with ripped skinny jeans and we both wore vans.

Casey: okay Emily while you get the girls and Dani ready I am going to take Clare and Demi to meet nick and do their pictures first
Emily: okay
(They walk out to the photo shoot set and see nick wearing a black graphic shirt with a jean jacket and dark blue jeans)
Casey: you guys look perfect okay so let's get a couple shots with the three of you then a couple with Clare and nick, then Clare and Demi and then just nick and Demi
Nick: okay sounds good
Clare's POV
The three of us walked to the green screen and nick wrapped his arms around Demi's waist and I stood in front of them and we smiled for a couple then we looked Serious in some others and then they had me get in the middle of them and nick and Demi kissed my cheeks. After that pic they had my dad and I do some individual ones but I think my favorite was when dad put me on his back and we both looked into the camera and smiled, after that we had demi and I and we just had a couple of us laughing. After that Casey told us that we were good and uncle Keven, aunt Dani, Alena and Tina came out looking very classy. Uncle Keven was in a suit, aunt Dani and my cousins were in dresses, we watched them do their shoot and it looked great and then it was uncle joe and Sophie's turn.

Casey: alright girls let's get you changed because we want a couple with just the three of you
Tina: okay
(Casey takes the girls back to the dressing room)
Emily: alright so since you guys are teens we want to make you look like teens if that makes sense so Clare your going to be wearing a light blue ribbed lace bungee cami with blue high waisted shorts, Tina your going to wear a white ribbed lace bungee cami with blue high waisted shorts, and Alena your going to wear a red laced bungee cami with blue high waisted shorts as well and adidas
Girls: okay
(They get dressed and look in the mirror)
Tina: you want to know something funny
Alena: what?
Tina: if our dad's ever saw us wear this in public we would never be aloud out of the house
Clare: haha true
Casey: alright we are ready for you girls
Clare's pov
While us girls did our photo shoot the adults were changing for their's since it was after us. We took about fifteen shots each one with a different pose or smiling or laughing into the camera, after that it was time for the adults and once they did there's it was time for the huge family pictures and we all had to chance again so we were color coordinated. Once we were officially done with with photo shoot Sam let us look at them to make sure we all approved and thankfully we actually looked great in these pics so we said thank you to them and headed off to the radio station.

Nick: alright I am going to say this one time and one time only I do NOT want any repeats of last time are we clear?
Alena: yes sir
Clare: crystal
Tina: okay
Nick: good now let's go inside
(They walk into the radio station)
Cate: hi I am cate and this is my partner Ryan
Ryan: hey guys welcome to the studio
Joe: thanks for having us
Cate: we are just going to do a quick run through basically we'll ask some questions about tour, maybe play a little game, take a few fan calls and then you'll be good to go
Kevin: okay sounds good
(They all take a seat and put their headsets in)
Ryan: good morning London and it is indeed a good morning the sun is out and we have very special guests in the studio Kate why don't you tell them
Kate: we have the Entire Jonas family in the studio for an hour they are going to be here we are going to play some games and maybe answer some of your questions so just give us a call if you want a chance to talk to any one of the members
Clare's POV
I zoned out for half the interview because it was the same games and questions every time but I was taken out of my train of thought when we started taking fan calls.

Cate: alright we are on the line with Elizabeth hi Elizabeth what's your question?
Elizabeth: hi! My question is for the girls
Alena: what's up Elizabeth
Elizabeth: how do you deal with the haters?
Alena: that's a good question and I think we all handle it differently but for me I just choose to ignore them because they aren't true fans If they are sending hate
Tina: sometimes it's hard to ignore it but at the end of day I just remind myself that they say those things because they're jealous
Clare: yeah they pretty much summed it up
Elizabeth: okay thanks for answering my question!
Alena: no problem have a good day!
Elizabeth: you too
Ryan: alright Ashley your on the line with the Jonas family what is your question
Ashley: I just wanted to ask Clare what it's like knowing that she gets the most hate out of all the girls, how do you cope with knowing that your not as popular as your cousins or even your parents?
Cate: okay Ashley I am sorry but that question is very personal and I am going to have to cut you off
Clare: (swallows) no it's okay I can answer it
Nick: I would rather you didn't
Clare: it's okay I am fine and to answer your question Ashley I know that the fans don't like me as much but that's not my problem that's theirs and I am not responsible for how they feel about me
Cate: okay bye Ashley (hangs up)
Clare's pov
The rest of the interview went by and soon we were piling back in the car and heading to the studio for sound check.

Nick: hey Clare
Clare: yeah dad
Nick: I just want you to know that I am proud of how you handled that fan question
Joe: yeah you did it without cursing or being rude but still stood your ground
Clare: (fake smiles) thanks dad
Dani: and you know what she says wasn't true right? The fans love you too
Clare: I know (goes on her phone and checks Twitter)

Unbelievable no matter what I do they still hate on me, I let go of my bad self they hate me, I try to be a better person and they still hate me. My heart felt heavy and I texted the one person I never thought I wanted to talk to again.

Ricky: not really what's up?
Clare: I don't know I am just thinking if I made a mistake I miss you guys and the crew...
Ricky: really?
Clare: yeah no matter what I do they still hate me so why does it matter if I am good or not
Ricky: what are you talking about?
Clare: the fans no matter what I do they are always going to hate me
Ricky: since when do you care what anyone thinks? You used to be a badass and didn't give a shit remember
Clare: yeah... but I feel like I have changed and I don't know how to go back to who I used to be
Ricky: well you could start by apologizing to the crew
Clare: I am sure they hate me too
Ricky: no they just don't like who you have become
Clare: I feel weak Ricky and I hate it because I used to be strong and now
Ricky: so go back to being the strong badass I fell for I know she's still there somewhere you just have to find her
Clare: your right thanks Ricky
Ricky: your welcome FaceTime me tonight we'll talk some more and maybe we can do a little more then just talk
Clare: haha okay I'll call you after the concert
Ricky: okay

Clare's POV
I don't know if I am actually going to FaceTime later all I know is that when I hung out with Ricky and the crew they made me feel special they were my second family when my first one was to busy for me. we got to soundcheck and it was the same as always they made sure everything was working, went over the songs they were going to sing and once five o clock came around they were done.

Kevin: let's get something to eat before the show
Nick: okay what were you thinking?
Kevin: it has to be walking distance
Dani: there's a Starbucks we can get sandwiches
Demi: okay
Everyone: let's go
(They walk to star bucks and the adults order first)
Sophie: what do you want girls?
Alena: I'll have a chicken BLT box with a mango dragon fruit refresher
Tina: and I'll get a chicken wrap box and a strawberry lemonade
Clare: I'll have the PB&J box with a bottle of water
Joe: are you sure that's what you want?
Clare: yeah let's not push it I have had a good day and I don't want to risk anything
Joe: okay
Clare's pov
I picked at my sandwich and just cut it into tiny pieces and everyone was in their own conversation so they didn't notice what I was doing. I popped a couple grapes in my mouth and when I was sure no one was paying attention I put the napkin the box and walked to the trash can and threw it away.

Dani: done already Clare?
Clare: yeah I guess I was more hungry then I thought
Tina's pov
Clare tried to be slick but obviously I was looking at her and she didn't even take a bite of the sandwich and we knew that we needed to talk to Clare ASAP. The rest of us finished eating and headed back to the venue and the concert was about to start so we sat backstage and watched them, but Alena and I kept looking At each other and then to Sophie and Dani who didn't look like they were going anywhere soon. Eventually the concert ended and we headed back to the hotel.

Nick: we leave to Rome tomorrow but I was thinking instead of going on a plane again we'll just road trip it
Adults: okay
Demi: alright babe it's getting late let's head to bed
Nick: okay
Tina: I want so sleep with you guys tonight
Clare: I still call uncle joe and aunt Sophie
Alena: that's fine I'll stay with dad and mom tonight
Clare's pov
We all said goodnight and headed to the room, I took another shower and put on pajama's and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.
