okay hi i have an AU idea

I,, sorta forgot this book existed ooops

So I don't wanna talk too much about this yet because I'm really really unsure of a lot of things BUT I've spent the last couple days obsessing over this new MCSM AU 

I tried to get my Discord crew to talk me out of it but actually only seahorselover2006 did, DragonNadder and kendall--blue and Bunnylover426 just egged me on so this is a thing now

Anyways. Another alternate universe, as if this fandom doesn't have enough already.

It's sorta fantasy and sorta not?? Like. It's Minecraft, but with magic and a severe lack of logic.

So the world is pretty Minecraft-y, but it's not as block-logic-centered. The void is a thing, and most of the mobs are the same, but crafting and a lot of other normal Minecraft things are considered to be magic

And there's more 'normal' magic, like crafting and potion-brewing and weapon enchanting that basically anyone can do, and then there's magic like spells and curses/hexes and shapeshifters and enchanted or cursed objects. That kinda thing is mostly (but not always) associated with mages

Oh and there's deities

They're not full gods like how you might be thinking, they're more like...idk powerful, kinda chaotic spirits that can influence the world without having to actually perform magic like mages do. They have mostly-human appearances, and they basically act human too, so they're not really worshipped?? But you can sort-of pray to them if you want their help, though they'll choose whether they want to or not
And sometimes they decide to help people even if said people don't want their help

They're basically just magical tricksters and Aiden is one and no I'm not sorry

ANYWAYS

The plot of MCSM is...mostly the same, but with some logic changes because of the world rules. The Wither Arc is mainly the same, the biggest difference being that the Command Block being a cursed object instead of just a powerful block.

Also, the main characters are a bit older than the fandom normally imagines them, but that's another area that I haven't totally worked out yet so it could change

Episode 5 is the only one that's way way waaaay different than in canon, I'm not gonna explain it all right now but lemme just say that Aiden, being a deity, has VERY different motivations in this AU

Another difference is that Lukas and Petra are fully, completely in love with each other and manage to confess after literally seeing each other die in episode 8
Which...isn't that far off from canon HAHAH

(Oh and Redstonia and Boomtown are rival mage cities, specializing in Redstone magic and destructive magic, respectively. Beacontown is a city of creative magic, but it's also highly different from canon.)

But! Talking about the actual plot of the AU!

After destroying the equivalent of the Command Block, Jesse gets a curse placed on her by Soren. Except not really Soren, because I fucked up logic a teensy bit when it comes to his role in the story, but let's just say it's him.

The curse affects her in a lot of ways...some of which I kinda still need to come up with haha. She's kind of a walking magnet for trouble, and accidentally causes bad things to happen to the people around her.
