I got off the airplane and had another case of jet lag. I got back to the apartment and fell onto my bed. I grabbed my phone and told Y/N I made it back to Japan in one piece. I sighed and fell asleep for the night.
In the morning, I grabbed my briefcase and got everything out that I found from Hayata's place. I put them with the other pieces of research I had found throughout the archives. I looked at everything that was laid out in front of me. I smirked.
"Everything is coming into place." I looked at my watch and grabbed my briefcase and walked out of the apartment. I got to the train station to see Y/N was standing there, waiting for her train.
"Y/N."
I looked up and smiled when I saw Akechi walking towards me. He had a distraught expression on his face.
"Akechi, is everything ok?"
"Huh? Oh, y-yeah. It's just that, I need to talk to you."
"Same meeting place?"
"You know it."
"Alright. I'll see you at the normal time?"
"I will not be late."
"You better not."
I smiled at him as I got on my train to head to school. At lunch I stared off into space as my friends were talking.
"Hello? Earth to, Y/N!" Eiko said.
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw all of them were staring at me.
"What?"
"You seem distracted today, Y/N. Why is that?" Haru asked.
"It's nothing."
"It's because she's seeing a boy," Eiko said.
"What?"
"No!"
"Shut up!"
"Yep. I see her and him all the time at the train station."
"There's nothing between us!"
"Are you sure? Because you seem happy every time you're with him," Eiko said.
"Who is he?"
"I'd like to meet him!"
"It's the ace detective," Eiko smiled.
"No way!" they all exclaimed.
"We're just friends. There is nothing between us."
"Are you sure about that, Y/N?" Eiko asked.
"Yeah. He was just helping me look for my father."
"That's it?" Haru asked.
"Yes. He is just helping me look for my father. Which he found him."
"Where was he?" Eiko asked.
"I-I don't wish to say."
"We understand," Makoto said and shot a glare over at Eiko.
After school I headed over to Leblanc and got ready to work. It was pretty busy today, which kept my thoughts elsewhere besides on Akechi. And the conversation I had with my friends. Around the normal time, Akechi walked through the door.
"Hi, Akechi."
"Hi, Y/N."
"The usual?"
"You bet," he said.
I got his coffee ready and I joined him at the booth we normally sit at.
"What did you find?"
"This is going to be pretty hard on you, Y/N."
