Psychotic Love

Chapter 12

"This one," I said.

I cupped his cheeks and pressed my lips against his. He was taken aback and was surprised. He closed his eyes and kissed back. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. I pulled away and both of us were as red as a tomato.

"Um, I-I didn't know y-you thought of me in t-t-that sense," Akechi stuttered.

"Uh, I only thought of us in that way since last night," I said, trying not to stutter.

"You shouldn't of done that, Y/N," Akechi said, getting a bit more serious now.

"I-I just wanted to because I missed the opportunity yesterday."

He sighed and put his forehead against mine, "It's alright."

I moved my arms to around his neck and we stood there for a few moments. I wanted to stay like this forever. But Akechi's train came.

"Hey, I-um, I've got to go."

"Can I come with you?" I asked.

"No. You need to head to school."

"Ok," I said.

I hugged him goodbye and waited for the next train.

"I'll see you at Leblanc," Akechi said before he got onto the train.

"See you there," I smiled.

I watched him as he got onto the train and I waited for the next one. Looks like I'm going to be late today. I walked into the school building and went to my class. My teacher had asked where I was, which I explained I had just missed the train because I slept in. She said not to let it happen again and I sat down. At lunch, Akira had grabbed my attention and we walked to the courtyard.

"Is everything ok, Akira?"

"We have a new target," Akira said.

"Who is it?"

"Sae Nijima."

"Makoto's sister?"

"Yes. We are heading there soon, but we might not need you until later. I feel like we might need you then."

"I will be waiting for that call, Akira," I said. "Wait, how did you find her?"

"Akechi told us he wants to change her heart."

"Wait? Akechi asked you to do this."

"Yes. He wants us to change her heart and he wants to help."

"Let me help if he helps."

"Why is that?"

"I want to make sure he's ok. Also, he told me that someone told him who looked at the fan-site."

"That is a lie, Y/N. Akechi told us he wants to help us take down Sae."

I nodded. Akechi had lied to me. I sighed and thought nothing of it. It was just a small lie. It was nothing out of the ordinary.

"Just be careful," I said.

"We will."

"When are you heading to her palace?"

"As soon as we can. We might try going in today."

"Be careful, Akira."

He nodded, "We will try our best."

"And watch after Akechi."

"Why?"

"I am a bit worried about him."
