Yoo! It's Aqua here, finally getting around to @ParkerRecs Songfic Challenge, so let's get to this! This is the first time I've done a songfic, so I'm sorry if it's not that good. I styled it more as being a backing track, since that's the only way I could make this work

Xisuma felt very responsible for the Wither Woods. While it wasn't created intentionally, it did inhibit the possibilities for further expansion. And he was constantly worried that one or more of the 81 Nether bosses would emerge from the forest and attack the Hermits that lived on the island.

Maybe that's why he found himself on the edge of the Wither Woods so often, looking in, daring himself to go in and check out the situation. He never had gone too far in, not wanting the skeletal flying creatures to know he was there. But still, it was a situation that had to be dealt with.

Today, he decided, would be the day that it would be handled.

Whether he succeeded in fixing this mess or died trying, he knew he would be remembered for the Wither Woods. I mean, what other Admin was responsible for something like this happening?

If his name would always be associated with this fiasco, then he might as well be remembered for trying to fix this mess he created, right? With this thought, Xisuma took a deep breath and entered the woods.

From what he could tell, the Withers didn't hang around too close to where he entered. Which was a good thing; getting into a fight like this without the ability to take cover wasn't ideal, after all.

What he wasn't expecting, was EX to be there. The darker clone of Xisuma was leaning against a tree, his helmet held comfortably in his hands. When he saw the green armored Hermit, he raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I guess I can see why you wouldn't want me around. It would take away the achievement of you destroying the server if I had gotten in the way of this." EX teased.

Xisuma rolled his eyes. "Why are you here?" he asked, slightly annoyed.

"I was in the area and decided to stop by," EX replied. "Last I checked, this isn't technically part of the established Hermitlands, so I can be here."

"I don't need your sass right now." The admin muttered under his breath. But he knew he was going to get it.

An explosion off to one side distracted the two.

"Need any help getting rid of them?" EX asked.

Xisuma glanced over at the red armor-clad figure. "What's the catch?" he asked warily.

"No catch. Just like you, I don't want these Withers to destroy the server. If they do, there'll be nothing left for me to destroy, and we can't have that!" The evil counterpart said dramatically.

The Hermit couldn't help but let out a laugh. "No, I suppose we can't. I hope you have some gear, because I don't have enough for both of us." He replied, offering an alliance through his words.

His counterpart flashed a sarcastic grin before putting his own helmet back on.

"Thought you'd never ask."

((Tick tock goes the clock, spiraling out of control!))

Soon enough, the two Xisumavoids found the source of the explosion. Or rather, the sources. There were, in fact, four Wither bosses in a nearby clearing. Xisuma, upon seeing this, was pretty glad he had an ally, even if his trustworthiness was questionable.

Immediately, they got to work. One advantage of having an alternate version of yourself as a combat partner, is that you already know each other's tactics. So when EX gestured off to the left, Xisuma immediately understood that the man in red would be taking the two on the left hand side. So he headed off to the right.

At first, things seemed to be going great. EX was pretty skilled with that bow of his, shooting flaming arrows at the floating menaces nearest to him. Xisuma made good work with a loyalty trident on the other two. Pretty soon, each of them had taken one down in the ambush.

Then of course, things started to go south. The element of surprise gone, the remaining two Withers were understandably annoyed at the death of their brethren. The forest around them started disintegrating, pieces of earth flying everywhere.

And then, one of the creatures shot a skull into EX's chest plate. There was a loud crack, and the supposedly evil version of Xisuma's helmet started to slip off of his head. While his counterpart was still alive and conscious, he was in no condition to defend himself from the two Nether bosses that were preparing for another major attack.

Xisuma grit his teeth. As the server Admin, his job was to make the server safe and fun for everyone on it. And right now, that included EX. And the Hermit saw only one option at this point.

Time to make himself look like a bigger threat. Grabbing his sword, he threw his trident at one of the creatures and slashed the other in the back.

He honestly wasn't too sure of what happened next. Xisuma was aware he was fighting, he was aware of the withering effect on his body, but it was as if in that moment, it wasn't actually affecting him.

Soon, EX was calling his name, and he felt as though he had been hit by a bag of bricks. Everything hurt, and the world around him was fading in and out of focus. He felt himself be lifted up, and faded into darkness

((Yellow teeth and crimson eyes, staring into your soul))

When Xisuma woke up later in his base, he wondered if it had been some weird dream. But that was quickly quelled when he saw a book written by EX in an item frame, one that certainly wasn't there before.

Xisuma Void, why in the Nether would you take the heat, you idiot! I could have handled myself just fine!
...That being said, I guess I should thank you for helping me out. Even though none of this would have happened if I didn't get involved with your problem. But still, you didn't have to completely destroy those withers.
I'll definitely remember what you did.

EX

Well, this probably sucks. But oh well! I'm gonna do the same thing that Parker did for the first assignment of this challenge, and if you comment asking for a song, I'll give you one from my playlists.

Sorry about the timeskips, I'm really not sure what's up with them...

I also really like the idea of EX being a sass master, and I hope I got that well.

Hope you enjoyed, and comments are appreciated!
