Your cell phone rings on the kitchen table with Sam's name on the screen. You quickly wash your hands and answer the phone.
"Sam, hey how's the case going babe?!"
"It's going okay I think we finally got a lead and hopefully we should be back home sometime tomorrow."
"You better be home tomorrow Sam Winchester because I have a surprise for you," you say with a smile breaking out on your lips.
"A surprise? That sounds...good." Sam says with slight confusion in his voice.
"Sam...don't tell me that you forgot."
"Umm...I don't...oh wait it's my birthday tomorrow, I guess I did almost forget."
"Well you don't have to worry too much because I haven't forgotten," you say in a playful tone.
"I'm sorry it didn't come to me faster this case hasn't really allowed me to sleep a lot. But Dean and I will be back home tomorrow to celebrate with you since birthdays are like your favorite thing for some reason," Sam says while laughing.
"Don't be sorry Sam, it's going to be your special day and you deserve it."
"I love you, you know."
"I know...I love you too Sammy." You say before you both tell each other goodbye and hang up.
After setting your phone down you walk over to the oven to check on Sam's birthday cake that you're baking. The cake was going to be a part of his birthday surprise but he'd have to unwrap you to get the other part.
