You were currently lost in a fictional world until the ringing of your doorbell pulls your attention away. Closing the book in your hands you sigh and go to answer the door.
You look through the peep hole only to see Dean Winchester standing on the other side. You groan in frustration as you unlock and open the door with curiosity getting the best of you.
"Hey (Y/N), sorry to umm bother you." Dean apologizes, probably because he heard your annoyance through the door.
"It's fine Dean you just...caught me off guard I guess."
"Who? You? Never. You're real good with being aware of things, and that's kind of why I'm here. Sam and I could really use your help on this difficult case that we're working." Dean admits with a hopeful smile.
"I'll do my best as usual." You say with a smile of your own.
"Twilight?" Dean questions as he points out the book in your hands.
"Yes, it's surprisingly good. I'll have to ask Sam if he's read it." You answer with slight amusement in your expression.
"I doubt it. I think we all deal with enough blood suckers in our lives to read about them for fun."
"It's not just about blood suckers Dean. There's this thing called romance." You say as you playfully shove the book into his chest while passing him.
You leave Dean with a dumbfounded look on his face as you make your way to greet Sam who's sitting in the Impala. One gazing in from the outside would probably think that you prefer the younger Winchester to the elder one, but you knew deep down that wasn't the case. Although you cared for both of them the oldest one always seemed to somehow catch your feelings off guard.
