The thing that Thomas said about Felix kept swirling in your mind with racing motion and untouchable theories. If the things you told Thomas wouldn't sound like the second in Command, why would he do that?
Because it is Pan that gives him orders.
Everything was confusing and you felt like you had to solve a riddle. You tried to ignore your stupid mind and go eat something. As you did so, Felix entered the camp but you looked at him, deciding not to care about him at all. Not even fearing him. Your time were too precious to fool around in madness.
Indeed, you were angry, no, furious! He had watches you for weeks now. What was that all about? Sitting on the table more and more things came to your mind and within every second you got angrier. After you finished your meal, your feet lead you right to Felix cabin, not thinking about consequences you entered and slammed the door right behind you. Felix snapped over, giving you a confused look and a dark glare.
'WHY DOES HE WANT YOU TO FOLLOW ME!' You screamed at him, the colour of your face turning red in anger.
Felix face went dark as he slowly approached you, glooming eyes pierced you, sharper than the dagger in his belt. The way he moved, slow, the dark face, his whole appearance- everything on hin somewhat cowed you. The space between you and the second in command disappeared and he pressed you against the wooden walls with his own body, starring down with a look that could cut through diamonds, while you tried to act like you could still breathe normal.
'You're not scaring me, Felix.' You said calm and your face turned serious. The corner of his lips twitched and he stepped aside, sitting down on a chair and you swear, he was almost as tall sittening as you when you were standing. 'Tell me.' You said and stepped closer, giving him a hopeful look with big eyes.
'Relax.' Felix said annoyed and frowned. His hand went over his face and he seemed quite pissed. 'Pan's just checking if you're dangerous,' he said beforehe started to laugh,' Which you're absolutely not!'
Now it was your turn to be annoyed and pissed. The hurtful face he confronted now caused him to be silent and he stood up to step closer to you, his cold facade dropped, but before he could reach you, you stormed out of his cabin.'Asshole!' Was the last thing you groaned before kicking the door open.
He didn't follow you. But something deep inside you wanted him to. For one moment, a short one, he seemed to be at least a little nice. As you walked over to your own tent, that hateful glare which had covered your whole face before, were aimed at Pan now. The leader of the lost boy sat on a log, watching you walk over from Felix cabin to your own tent, curious, a dark smirk on his face. Somewhat in Peter Pan freaked you out. Maybe because he was always smiling, not in a friendly way, no, rather smirking, the most evil smirk you had ever seen. His eyes were sharp like Felix's eyes, except that they seem to burn your soul and always looked for a secret you could hide. When he were around, you got nervous and felt weak.
He made you feel weak.
You definetly weren't weak. Everybody in this place underestimated you, not taking you serious at all.
Peter raised an eyebrow and made his own way to Felix cabin. Of course he would do so. You scoffed and entered your tent and layed down in your cot. This couldn't be it. This could not be the perfect life on a magic island. How long could you survive under this circumstances?
Someone woke you up from your peaceful nap and as you turned around you looked at Thomas. Him being so close, made you notice that he got freckles over his neat skin.
'Sorry to wake ye,' he smiled down and removed his hand from your shoulder. 'But ye must join a game.'
You closed your eyes sleepily and didn't really listened to his words because you felt a bit confused. 'Give me a second.' You mumbled tired. Thomas grabbed you by the waist and pulled you out of bed onto your feet. You kicked and fought in shock around, not realising what's happening.
'What?' Your face told how confused and tired you were. Thomas commanded you to follow him, your feet brought you to the rest of the boys, but your mind were still in bed. Peter stood in front of the group, smirking as always, explaining the rules of the game to all boys. Usually the king of Neverland would never let you join, held you back in camp to keep guard,- which was absolutely unnecessary, who would even find the way to the camp? No one else, except Tinkerbell, lived in Neverland.
'We will play hide and seek,' the blond boy said, his emerald eyes glowing in excitement. 'You will get twenty minutes to hide. You can switch your hiding spots, but if someone caughts and see you, you're out! People who hide can partner up, but people who will chase can also split. So be cautious! Thomas, you're chasing!'
The lost boys cheered loud and hollered around. They split and ran into different directions. Thomas face looked disappointed at first, but he gave you a smirking glance, like he would say, I will find you!
Running into a random direction, happy to join a game, your mind filled with places where you could hide. The last few weeks you mostly travelled around on the Island, exploring the endless forest. There were no escape from Neverland without Pan's permission, so he let you some space and time for yourself. He knew the difficulties of a newcomer.
Shallows and trees made it difficult to properly walk, this way wasn't the best idea of yours, but after a while you reached an abyss with a cave and overgrown bushes around it. Climbing in it you sat on the cold stones, cooling you down from the sun's burning heat. The lost boys could look for you all day, never would they find you here. Your tired eyes went shut and your limbs tried to get back into the same position in which you had fallen asleep earlier. If you could wait for a boy to find you, you could also continue your soothing nap. Your mind drifted of and the darkness of falling slowly asleep overcame the pictures in your mind.
When you woke up, the sun already went down and left a slight of light into the cave until it faded and you sat in darkness. Climbing the rocks to get back to camp in the dark was hardly to manage and you wondered if the game still were on. Maybe it was time to hurry? Slipping from a wet stone you let out a hiss and fell down onto the hard ground. A loud shriek escaped your lips and pain shivered through your limps. A big, bloody scratch on your arm burned and a hurtful look appeared on your face. Trying to climb back up seemed much harder now, but somehow you managed it even through the pain. You let yourself drop on the grass and tears rolled down your face as you began to cry. Your cries weren't unnoticed, as footsteps suddenly approached you.
'Y/N!'
Hearing his voice again almost made you cry more. Felix ran towards you and a bad feeling overcame you, fearing him for a second. The lost boy stopped in front of you, yelling, 'WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? WE WERE LOOKING FOR YOU ALL-'
The lost boy stopped midsentence and took a closer look at your bleeding arm and crying face.
'Come here.' He whispered calm, voice soothing, as he suddenly spread his arms and embraced you. 'You're hurt.'
You couldn't stop crying, the pain was too worse, but in this moment you just needed someone and somehow you felt safe now. The lost boy stroked over your back and lifted you in his arms to carry you back to the camp.
'You won, girlie.' He said as they reached the camp and the cold breeze in his voice returned as it had never left. He left, looking for Pan, when suddenly Thomas and Ian appeared next to you, their faces pale and disturbed.
'Where have ye been?' Thomas asked with a stern voice, while Ian took a peak over the other boys shoulder, his blue eyes worried. You sighted and decided to lie at them.
'I fell and couldn't... I just couldn't-'
Your voice dropped and you frowned, closing your eyes to rewind the whole day. You fell asleep, you fell, Felix rescued you. Eyes widening you thought of how nice he suddenly acted. Suprisingly nice, even if it didn't last long, he had a heart.
