Inside there were two things, red liquid inside a fancy clear bottle with a stopper and a piece of parchment with extremely loopy handwriting across it.

"Dear Miss McLean,

Given the circumstances concerning your friend I thought I might offer an alternative option to you. Inside this bottle is a little concoction that's been sitting around collecting dust on Mt. Olympus for ages. To whoever drinks even a single drop of the elixir will become infatuated with any person of your desire. Just whisper the name of the person of desire into the bottle before you slip a few drops into their drink. Quite simple really. But I thought its effects might be enough to help you awaken Mr. Jackson's heart.

Love, Eros "

Piper blinked. Staring, and rereading the note, again and again, she was dumbfounded. In her hands, she held a love potion. A. Love. Potion.

"Oh my..." Piper picked up the elixir thinking this could be the exact fix they needed, whisper Annabeth's name into the bottle, then one drop into Percy's drink, and all would be right in the world!

As she was lost in thought, a bright light flashed in front of her, a thick leather book appeared floating in front of her.

Piper hesitantly took the notebook, quickly opening it to the first page.

"Elixir 244387921,

14/10 - Eros and I have finally perfected the potion, or at least to the best extent we ever will be able to. It seems to finally be ready to perform it's intended purpose.

17/12 - We have concluded the amount of dosage per one serving is as lowly as one drop. In the experiment of "Helen of Troy" five drops was enough to start the Trojan War. We are hoping our new dosage chart will help us in our next experiment:

One drop = Ludus - Playful Love

Two drops = Familia - Family-Bond

Three Drops = Cupid - Irresistible Lust

Four Drops = Pragma - Romantic Love

Five Drops = Mania - Obsessive Love"

Piper seemed to be reading some type of journal entries. She figured there were years worth of entries and experiments as she flipped through the pages. But one scribble of large writing on one of the last pages caught her eye:

"NEVER USE A PERSON OF DESIRE WHO IS NOT AVAILABLE OR RELATIVELY PHYSICALLY PRESENT TO THE SUBJECT - NO RELIABLE RESULTS."

Piper frowned, before realizing what that meant, she couldn't use Annabeth as Percy's person of desire...

She continued through the pages, looking for more information,

"15/23 - Tests have shown any noun can suffice for a name, such as whispering 'food' or 'books' into the bottle has the same effect, and the patient will fall in love with said noun."

"17/11 - Effects of the elixir are effectively reversed when the words, "Free (Subject's Name)" are said into the bottle."

Piper sat down... what had she just been given? She took a deep breath, if this elixir fell into the wrong person's hands there could be catastrophic effects. Piper wasn't even sure if she considered herself as the "right" person to be trusted with such a powerful potion.

She already felt like she had failed and abused her own powers when it came to Percy, what if this only made things worse?

Piper put the elixir, along with the parchment and the notebook, back into its package and tucked it under the bathroom sink. For safe-keeping until she knew what to do with it or who to tell about it.

Shutting the bathroom door behind her, she stepped out into their hotel room looking around.

Then realizing someone was missing she quickly frantically searched around the room, including under the beds.

"Hazel! Hazel wake up!" She said, shaking her awake, "Percy's gone!"
