<p>Pete rushed to the hospital when he got a call saying patrick was waking up and mumbling his name. The bond had soon reawakened and pete couldn't be any happier. But it hit him to feel Patricks pain.</p>
<p>Ashlee greeted him at the hospital with a happy smile as he returned one back and rushed into Patricks room where Dr Ross was walking out of.</p>
<p>"Pete!" He smiled,</p>
<p>"Doctor"</p>
<p>"Patrick is completely fine, a bit dizzy but ok. And the baby is healthy"</p>
<p>Pete gave the doctor a grateful smile before walking into the room to see a dazed Patricks rubbing his stomach.</p>
<p>"Pete?" He slurred,</p>
<p>"I'm right here baby" the alpha said rushing to the omegas side and holding his hand,</p>
<p>"The doctor said were having a boy" he smiled goofily and pete chuckled at the omega.</p>
<p>"Well. We know what colour to paint the nursery" he leant down to kiss patrick and the omega pulled arms around pete to pull him closer,</p>
<p>"Your stitches might come loose" pete said pulling back a bit.</p>
<p>Patrick placed a finger on his neck and retracted back quickly, hissing in pain. He looked back at pete when he realised where the gash has been,</p>
<p>"Are we..."</p>
<p>"Yes." Pete said before patrick could finish the sentence,</p>
<p>"My toxins had entered your blood stream. We are still mated"</p>
<p>The omega let out a cry I relief and pulled pete close once again he nosed petes neck and breathed in the alphas scent, finding comfort and relaxing.</p>
<p>"I don't know who did it" patrick whispered,</p>
<p>"Investigators were on the case"</p>
<p>Talking about the investigators. They walked in like they had just heard pete mention them. They probably did hear them.</p>
<p>They were both betas, one male one female. They smiled warmly at the couple in the embrace before the female opened a folder and addressed patrick.</p>
<p>"Omega Wentz. Do you remember what happened?"</p>
<p>Patrick nodded and the male inspector wrote it down.</p>
<p>"Do you know who attacked you?"</p>
<p>"It was blurry. I was trying to get away"</p>
<p>Pete heart broke at the thought of patrick running to hide and fighting the alpha who attacked him in order to escape.</p>
<p>"It's ok darling" the female spoke in a motherly tone. Stroking the omegas arm in a comforting way. Patrick could tell she had omega children of her own. Only a mother would know how to comfort a distressed omega without the omegas alpha.</p>
<p>"We have a DNA test completed" the male inspector told pete.</p>
<p>The alpha nodded and followed the inspector out the room while the female one comforted a crying patrick.</p>
<p>"Who was it?" Pete asked out of desperation,</p>
<p>"Another alpha who goes by the name Gabriel Saporta"</p>
<p>Pete growled at the name,</p>
<p>"Know him?"</p>
<p>He shook his head,</p>
<p>"I want him arrested"</p>
<p>The inspector nodded and wrote down some notes,</p>
<p>"We have a team on his tail. Every alpha knows it's a serious crime to bite a mated omega. Especially one that's pregnant"</p>
<p>Pete pursed his lips and nodded, walking back into the room and held it open when the female inspector walked out. Thanking the alpha of course manners are ways the best.</p>
<p>He looked at patrick on the bed and walked to get in beside him, pulling the omega to his chest. Patrick instantly cuddled closer to him.</p>
<p>"I was so fücking scared patrick. I thought I had lost you"</p>
<p>"I'm here. I'm safe and our baby is safe"</p>
<p>The alpha pulled patrick closer to him till the omega was sitting in his lap. Patrick sighs happily and pete breathed in Patricks scent. It was nearly back to normal but the scent of another alpha lingered. Pete hated it.</p>
<p>"When you get out of the hospital I'm never leaving your side" </p>
<p>Patrick nodded and relaxed in the alphas embrace, drifting off into a well deserves sleep. Pete stroked the omegas hair and pulled him closer. He swore that he wouldn't let him out of his sight.</p>
<p>Ashlee came in. Few minutes later with two cups of hot chocolate, she placed them on the side table and manoeuvred around towards patrick to carefully take the IV drip out. She also checked over his vitals and then replaced the bandage on the wound.</p>
<p>"He will be able to go home in two days" she said,</p>
<p>"Thank you" pete said,</p>
<p>"For what?"</p>
<p>"For helping me and taking care of patrick"</p>
<p>Ashlee smiled brightly,</p>
<p>"I love helping people. Plus you two are a cute couple who I would love to see get married and have loads of babies"</p>
<p>"Your a good friend" pete replied,</p>
<p>Her eyes widened with joy as she flung her arms around pete and pulled him close, she kissed Patricks head then for up and grabbed the folded with Patricks info on.</p>
<p>"I will sign the release papers for you to take him home. A doctor will have to check on him. I'll get Dr Ross here tomorrow"</p>
<p>Pete smiled at her once again before he walked out.</p>
<p>"You hear that baby? You can go home soon"</p>
<p>Patrick replied in a mumbled and snuggled closer to pete. The alpha kissed the omegas forehead and rubbed his stomach. The baby instantly replied in a kick.</p>
<p>And pete was a peace that patrick was awake.</p>
