Raindrops hit the ground and the fresh smell of rain made Hitomi feel a little better.
Even though it was pouring she walked slowly, taking small steps as she deeply sighed.
"Are you sure you want to go?" Emi asked the little girl in a quiet tone
"Yeah.. I'll just try not to make anyone laugh " she gave a little smile to her mother who patted her head with a sad smile
When they reached the school Hitomi said goodbye to her mother and got inside. She was an hour earlier since her mother had to go to the office.
When she got in she saw her friend. He was so serious about school that he went two hours earlier just in case. Usually she was happy that she could talk or play with him for an hour before everyone else came.
He approached her wanting to say hello, but Hitomi seemed out of it. She wasn't happy and jumpy as she usually was and was looking rather sad. She decided to distance herself from everyone so that she doesn't hurt them
The small boy greeted Hitomi with a smile, but she didn't answer.
"Hitomi-San?" He tilted his head "Are you okay? You seem sad" he asked, frowning in the process
"I'm fine" she answered in a monotone voice that didn't suit her at all
"Oh.. are you mad at me?" He asked, sadness visible in his blue eyes
They had been friends for such a long time. They met a year ago and hung out nonstop. She would visit his home, he would come to the office. They played all kinds of games and talked about everything
Hitomi wiped the tears that were threatening to fall and turned to her friend. She ruffled his dark blue hair, which she did a lot. She always wanted to mess up his hair
"Let's not talk anymore" she smiled sadly.
When it was recess the other kids approached her, but it resulted in the same way. She pushed away everyone, she felt lonely, but it was all for the purpose of not hurting anyone, so she had to manage.
But when the day ended her best friend approached her once more. She tried to avoid him, but her mother didn't see that she was trying to avoid him so she greeted the boy
"Hello Tenya!" She smiled
"Hello Miss Fukukado " he said with a frown "Why is Hitomi mad at me?" He tilted his head
"What? No, she's not. It's just that her quirk developed and she still can't control it. If she makes someone laugh it gets activated on its own. She is just scared that she might hurt you. Sorry if she was rude"
"Moom!" The little girl yelled "I was supposed to brag when I learned how to control it!" She whined
She acted like she was sad when actually she was really happy. She could play with her best friend again and the answer to her problem was really simple
"Okay! I won't laugh at your jokes again!" The boy announced with determination burning in his eyes
Well I hope you liked this chapter cause this is what my potato brain came up with
Also I think that the friendship between Hitomi and Iida would be adorable. Let me know what you think
So I guess that's it for now
