"Huh?" The little girl stared in confusion
Maybe this was a trivial inconvenience, but Hitomi didn't think that way.
She was sure that the doorbell rang. She heard it loud and clear, but nobody else heard it as well?
This was confusing the little girl. A lot.
She walked back to where she was sitting and decided to continue what she wanted to say
"So-" she started telling the blond boy her story, but like last time she was interrupted by the doorbell
The person outside sounded impatient, if there was a person outside, and was holding the doorbell for longer.
Hitomi turned around to see who it was, but she noticed that yet again, nobody was going to the door.
Confused she turned to Akio
"Y-You he-heard that, r-right?" She stuttered
She was scared and confused
"Heard what?" he smiled at her, tilting his head a little
She widened her eyes in horror.
Was she really hallucinating?
"T-The doorbell" she pointed her finger towards the front door "it rang a moment ago"
"No, I didn't hear it" He smiled again before continuing "But we can go check it out if you want"
"Yeah, let's go" she said and ran to the door
Akio followed close by. He opened the door, but nobody was there
"B-But I I heard it! Someone rang the doorbell!" She said quite frantically
"So what if someone did?" The blond asked with a malicious grin forming "Guess can't push you on the street"
"W-What?"
"Huh? What?" He asked the little girl with an innocent expression
"You- You just said " she pointed her little index finger at him
"What's going on?" Her mother came and asked with a big grin on her face
"He.. Mom! He-"
"Huh? What's wrong" Ms Joke asked
"Nothing. We were just opening the door. Hitomi-chan heard the doorbell" the blond scratched his neck "But nobody was there" he continued
"Hitomi?" She turned to her daughter "You heard it again?" She crouched and put her hands on the little girls shoulders
She noticed that the little girl was trembling
"Y-Yes! But it was him! He made me hear it!"
"What are you talking about Hitomi?" Her mother tilted her head
"He said so what if somebody did and told me he- he can't push me on the street" she hugged her mother
"What?" She turned to Akio
"I didn't say anything like that" he put his hands in front of him "I would never!"
"Hitomi said you did!" The woman got up from her crouched position
"What's going on here?" Aizawa came into the room
"I don't know" the blonde boy exclaimed
"Hitomi said he told her he wanted to push her-"
"I'm sure he didn't say anything of that kind" Eraserhead interrupted the laughing hero (who for some reason still hasn't said or done anything funny in this fanfic )
"I believe in my daughter over some boy you brought "
"I'm not saying that she's lying. Let's not jump into conclusions. I understand that you are her mother, but you are also a pro hero. Please, don't act irrationally"
"Alright let's see this from another perspective "
